Yeah that was compelling until the last episode

Great camera work and production throughout but that last episode was much too emo than what I go for entertainment, no matter how well done

Yeah, felt like bait and switch. Like I was watching a buddy cop show with Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg and it comes back from break and the last 1/3rd turns into Schindlers list or something.

I have a little more than a casual knowledge although I will admit it piqued my curiosity and I did quite a bit of reading because of it.

There were obvious liberties taken with events and timelines but none of them undermined the authenticity of the show. It was very well done.

I'm just sad that, because I have more than just a casual interest, that I know how the story really ends. Aethelstan united England, according to the movie, in IIRC 927 AD. It lasted less than 150 years.

Oh my. Adolescence on Netflix is the best thing I've watched in a long time (through half of it).

Four hour-long episodes all done in one shot. It's insane.

It's an older show about Marty Queen of Scots. Spends a lot of time retelling her time in France. Really good.
