Clark played really poorly in that final quarter. Got stripped at least 4 times and kept fruitlessly driving to the basket with no real chance at scoring

I love college bball but one of the nitpicks is there isn’t a lot you can do when the other team has an extreme size advantage because of recruiting. Props to Iowa for gutting through it. Im looking forward to seeing tomorrows game where at least the monsters can be sized up
|
That was the 1st women’s sport I ever watched from
start to finish. SC was just the better team. Good job from Iowa but they were just outclassed. |

Also, this "stats" argument needs a little context. Lebron has played 21 season with at least 82 games played. MJ played 15 years. Within those 15 seasons, he only played 3 games in the 85-86 season and only played the last 17 games of the 94-95 season. |
BWAHAHAHA DID MS AMERICA CAITLIN CLARK JUST LOSE ANOTHER FINAL TO ANOTHER "DEI" TEAM AND COACH? SAY IT AIN'T SO?!!! ROFL
Smugness aside congrats to Clark on her unbelievable career and best wishes to our fellow chiefs fan at the next level. South Carolina are the Chiefs of women's college ball. They had to overcome the previous superpower in Uconn to get to this point in their run. Was very nervous for them when they started off slow but class prevailed in the end. I knew iowa couldn't overcome the rebounding and depth advantages. Also big respect to the whole tournament. I LOVE IT and will be following it year I can. It's just better than the men's game and next year should also be good. Juju's team will be better and so will Paige's. South Carolina will be super strong aswell as many of the players who just won today will be back next year. |

It’s a small gripe but man, that schedule was bs. Iowa went through the gauntlet while South Carolina cleaned up against pee wee league teams. Made for great basketball but it felt a bit like the tourney was designed to make sure we saw the best primetime matchups

A lot of missed layups. The ladies would benefit if the hoop was lowered just a bit.

For the first time in my life at nearly 61, I watched a women's Final Four game. That's the impact Caitlin Clark has made on the sport.
Was fun to watch. Those women played even better than some of the men's games. Really enjoyed. |
Maybe I’m just getting older but I think the reason clark connects is because she’s kind of just a professional doing her thing. Her and Paige and juju kind of answer questions in a very mahomes way. Charming and engaging but very polished. Understandably women’s athletes have typically had a chip on their shoulder but to me it reached a point of entitlement where they were forcing people to like it.
That and, as I’ve pointed out before, these 3 players to me and Flau’jae on lsu are just more fluid athletes than we usually see. Maybe there are more but I only really started paying attention to these teams in particular the last few weeks. Like, South Carolina was a very good bball team but to me it’s kind of the same boring brand of basketball that feels a little herky jerky for my liking. |

Meanwhile, this next generation of players take the sport by storm, are professional every step of the way, and people are shocked to find that viewers prefer that way more than being shamed for not liking their boring version of basketball. |
Look at this coward:

The executives at ESPN need to be ****ing slapped for putting some god awful podcast on during the game, then slapped again, and then robbed at gunpoint for zooming in on their faces like that.

Uconn played way better defense on Caitlin than South Carolina. They played her decent but this was 100% about sc having a supporting cast that had an absurd size advantage. Offense can only be so productive with zero second chance opportunities. Also doesn’t help to get brutalized two days after a slugfest while the other team is able to rotate with a deeper bench. Iowa really never had a shot but they put a hell of an effort.
Itll be fun to see clark play with some offensive help down low which she’ll get in Indiana but also not having to play a full 40 minutes every single game. |

I don’t agree with the coach’s comment (truthfully I don’t think she was being genuine either) and yet I’d never say she “threw EVERY woman athlete under the bus” lol it’s the type of ridiculously dramatic speech that makes Twitter a cesspool |

Like a Supreme Court justice pretending she has to be a biologist to define what a woman is, it speaks to a much broader issue in our culture, and your inability to see that speaks volumes. When objective reality becomes THIS controversial, there's absolutely a problem, and it's 100% a "big deal". |

Imagine thinking that this makes somebody a woman and that they should be allowed to participate in women's sports. I didn't realize you were actually in the cult too. Wow. |
