Might as well pick him up too, he was mad decent last year.

I’m sure Veach would rather see what happens first in FA snd the draft.

Don’t get me wrong. I loved what Ingram did for us snd I’d love to have him back, but upgrading has to be the priority. Don’t want to sign Ingram and have top talents fall to us in the draft and not be able to make the right choice.

No further questions.

So we can’t acquire players anymore?

Still, though, we're approaching that deadline quickly here.

OTC is still crediting Frank Clark's cap hit at the full $26M right now. Details of that haven't been released, but I think that is the solution there.

KC wouldn't have announced/finalized deals with someone like Henne if they were in that much red.

We can. But I don't think we're in a position to call out players because they dominated shitty competition. That's kinda silly IMO.

irafreak 03-16-2022 01:16 PM

Out of curiosity...what's the penalty for not being under the cap at 4pm? Forced to sell the team? GM fired? Draft picks lost? Fines? Public executions?

You’re a complete dumbass.

1. Free agency is fluid, even if many of the big names go early.

2. The offseason doesn’t consist of just free agency

3. The draft will always be the ultimate resource for team building.

Yup.

Make or break season for the other teams in the West.

Win the division again, after all this, and they will all collectively throw their hands up in the air while screaming '****! What do we have to do . . . . . '

I suppose that trading up for Karlaflas (sp?) from Purdue is good option if he makes it to the late teens/early 20s...but I would hope that there's something else in the works.

Division is looking beastly next season. Signing Jarvis/Juju and getting a decent vet DE would help us open the draft up some.

threebag 03-16-2022 01:40 PM

So are we going back to Dee Ford and Justin Houston yet?

So we good.

Come on man. You know better.

They aren’t going into the season with what they have there now, and they will likely be aggressive one way or the other.

I think all signs are point to Za’Darius Smith being their guy.

If they don’t sign him, it will likely be a trade target on top of a vet.

Either way, we know they’re invest at least 1 early draft pick.

O.city 03-16-2022 01:44 PM

They need 2/3 more guys to rush the passer.

I wouldn’t say lots.

But again, Veach has a plan. Whether it be through trades or a trade up in the draft, if it doesn’t come from free agency, that just means he’s going to be aggressive some other way.

He specifically mentioned DL in his PC about the upcoming offseason. That’s all I needed to hear to know he will be aggressive in fixing the DL.

I can remember there being some buzz last year about not wanting as much info released during the tampering period because it took away from rating at the beginning of actual free agency.

I guess we will find out soon.

Wylie is a FA.

I bet he gets something like 3/19m.

Collins is exactly the type of player Veach trades for. Elite and young with room to improve.

Could you imagine Collins next to Trey?

So yeah....give me some young guys like Key and Carter. Then draft a guy like Cameron Thomas, Sam Williams or Arnold Ebeketie.

There won't be any stacking up at this point. There is no passrusher that we can add right now that would put us near the top. It is what it is. All three teams had someone already and just went out and got their 2nd top tier guy. And it was all because they want to get after Mahomes.

What team in this division has a RT worth a shit right now? It's not just us.
