Mahomes dislocated his patellar without any real damage , I mean sprains are technically damage to varying degree and risks

Sounds like a bone bruise and a capsular sprain is bare minimum with a hyperextension.

Technically, he was limited in practice because he didn't finish.

They aren't required to report anything further. Even if they list him as Questionable for the game, it doesn't mean we're in the clear - they could still be debating the results.

DJ's right, we probably don't want news - because that means it's a season ender and no reason to hold info back. Otherwise, they're just playing the mind game and it's frustrating AF.

I figured we'd get a "no structural damage" from someone atleast.

OCity bringing his doctor knowledge out today!

Good to have you here Doc!

I had one playing baseball in my teens. Got hit at home; hyperextended it. It was sore but I played the next day. It really felt more than anything like a bone bruise but the knee felt fairly stable, fairly quickly.

*I wasn't 35, though*- may be a different animal.

You also weren't carrying 265 pounds on your frame when that knee bent.

I'm at week 6 in a walking boot with some new hardware in my ankle over what is really just the mother of all high ankle sprains (syndesmosis ligaments had a bad time).

'sprain' is about the most worthless diagnosis that exists these days.

This is true.

I'm just saying it CAN happen.

It is. You're not Travis Kelce.

No doubt - I understand the gamesmanship part of this, but **** me - at least tell us there's no structural damage and lets get on with it.

Does he know Dr. Chao?

ESPN pushing out 10 fantasy notifications in the last 30 minutes about everyone other than Kelce is annoying to say the least.

Eleazar 09-05-2023 02:49 PM

Chiefs don't owe us anything. If Kelce is totally fine and a green light for Thursday night, they should do exactly what they are doing and list him as GTD and say nothing else.
