the defense did ENOUGH. period. full stop.

they couldve done better, but 17 points in 2017 is below average

we scored 11 net points on offense

do the math

The defense didn't do enough of anything. I have blasted the offense so stop the cherry picking. But you need to quit acting like our defense didn't get their shit kicked in. They got steam rolled by Bell, again. They couldn't stop him for shit. They tackled like crap. They allowed big run after big run after big run.

The offense isn't going to drive long fields consistently missing 5 starters. Particularly 2 of your starting WR's. The defense allowed the Steelers to constantly flip the field when they didn't score. They had them pinned inside their 5 twice and couldn't generate decent field position for our offense at all. You don't allow 200+ rushing and lose TOP by 15 minutes and say the defense did good.

they didnt. thats a false narrative... they bent but did not break...they put the ball back in the offense's hands and only allowed 17 points.

youre wrong.

How is keeping the opposing team under the league average for points scored 'getting their pushed in?'

Because we must assign blame to someone other than the QB who missed three wide open TDs.

He is our best friend and we love him forever.

thats really what i would liek to know...

alex smith can get wins with little yardage and 'yardage doesnt matter' but

the defense gives up yards and suddenly it matters? even though we have been giving up yards all season?

the defense did enough to win...we put the ball back in the offense's hands with enough time to win. period. we wonly allowed 17. period.

the offense really only scored a net of 8 points.

eight

I give Discuss and other posters credit for being against Alex consistently.

Clay has already flip flopped and it isn't every November.

This is where you're wrong.

I never sat here and said OMG ALEX IS AMAZING WE ARE WINNING THE SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR HE WILL BE MVP.

All I did was graciously give him credit for some great performances (three times) and indicate that if he did that consistently, we could win it all.

Then he reverts. Meaning I have earned the right to sunder him viciously.

There was no flip or flop.

Get your facts straight.

I have been fair and balanced this season.

Yes, you are a moron. They didn't do enough to win. I blasted the offense. You just have to ignore that because you are full of shit and you know it. The defense got rolled over.

by the way they punted in every possesion but one in the second half

and they only points they scored was on a total fluke...

so im not sure why you mention '3 and out'

they punted every possesion they had other than one in the second half

****ign bullshit and you know it

petegz28 10-15-2017 10:23 PM

when the offense put the defense in good positions, the defense ****ed it off in no less than 1 play, every time.

See how that works??? Defense is put on the field not once but twice with the Steelers inside their own 5 and in 2 plays, 1 on each drive, the Steelers were out past the 25 or more. That's good defense.
