Denver did what they always do and that's buying up players to win because they draft poorly. They are no different than the Native Americans over the past decade in this capacity. The only difference now is that Manning was of them and is making the difference. Once he is gone they will stink and be in such cap hell all the vets will walk. Thomas and Thomas will be gone.

All wishful thinking...

You are the dumbest on the site. As if I am wrong. They spend and spend all the time and if you think Manning will be back at forty plus then pass the bong. Players will jump ship without Manning and not be interested in rebuild mode. The team is on a one year deal.

You reerun. Do you think it was a creative move to take Miller? That's a no-brainer pick.

Run along now. You're due at your daddy's Lemon party.

99% of this board would have drafted Blaine Gabbert that year.

I do admit that there were very few poor choices available at that pick. He could've drafted 5 other players besides Von at #2 and it still would've turned out great.

Huh? I wasn't talking about Gabbert in the post you quoted, semen breath.

Were you one of the people saying Manning was making a bad choice because Denver had no weapons and they were all over rated? Who knows what the future holds. Denver is managed well and while there would be a drop off, who knows the direction they would go.

I'll worry about that later...

Peyton could give a rats if he won another super bowl. If he does, great. If not, BFD. He's out to destroy records, period. That's all he cares about. Which, good for him. But I'm sick of hearing announcers stroke the line of his passion for the game. Bullshit. He's a machine. After his last 2 super bowls, he said "**** it" and decided to just obliterate the record book.

You mean the Thomas and Thomas they drafted?

every team does that, that's why free agency was invented. To build a winner quickly. Every team does it

The only two that were. Manning, Welker, Ware, Ward, Sanders and Talib were bought.

No they don't and those that try always fail. The only reason Denver has hope it will work is because one of their bought players is Manning. So far it hasn't even worked for them and if it doesn't work this time then Manning will go down as playoff choker.

Welker and Sanders are being outperformed by a Denver draft pick (Thomas).

Ware is being outperformed by a Denver draft pick (Miller).

Talib is being outperformed by a Denver UDFA (Harris).

That leaves Manning and Ward, and it's not like Ward is lighting the league on fire with his play.
