What the hell is the expectation of someone who would even believe that? Do we need to have an all-pro at every position?

The Steelers were 9-7 that year and did not make the playoffs.

They've beat three playoff teams.

7-9 Seattle.

8-8 Denver.

15-1 Packers.

Dunno.

It does pose an interesting question, though. Let's say Dorsey and Jackson were both MISERABLE players. Like, stinky farty. Nate Hobgood-Chittick level bad.

How would the Chiefs go about fixing that mess? I mean, would they really just go out and spend some first rounders on some new players? Would they make some trades? Sign some big players? I don't know how one fixes that mess. It's one thing to roll the dice on a first round QB and have it not work out. Then you just try again. But to spend THREE top-11 draft picks on your entire defensive line? My God, you don't just try again with that.

You know what really suck? If Clay's Wet Dream were to come true and Pioli and Crennel fired after this season, only to bring in a new GM & HC that want to run the 4-3.

Three more years of first round defensive lineman.

I would sincerely hope that we brought in a GM who wasn't chained to a system.

Priority #1 upon Pioli's beheading should be hiring a flexible GM who isn't interested in waste management (one could describe Pioli's entire Chiefs career to this point as waste management, actually).

They're all chained to a system. Even John Fox switched back in Denver. Wade Phillips flipped the Texans. Rob Ryan changed the Cowboys.

On and on and on and on.

Three more years of first round defensive lineman.

Which means three more years the QB position will be ignored.

It's funny you say this because before you left you and Hamas were saying how this team should go back to the 4-3.

Then bring in a 3-4 guy.

We had a bust in a first round QB some thirty years of one Todd Blackledge. We havn't sniffed at taking a first round QB since. Yet we have hoarded first round D-line picks from the likes of Ryan hamburger Simms and so on. I don't get it?

They probably said that.

In 2009.

That's what everybody thought.
