I can't imagine choosing console over PC on either of the Dragon Age games, but that's just me. It looks pretty fantastic with the high quality texture pack, if you have a video card that can handle it. I can't really speak to how combat works on the console version, but it's not much different from DAO on PC. Characters just do what you tell them to do a lot faster.

I played DA:O on PC but I can definitely see it working on a console. You probably couldn't imagine playing KOTOR on a console either, but it was a much more pleasant experience on the old Xbox than it was on PC (I did both). Having said that, I'll probably save the $60 and do the PC thing.

EDIT: I played DO:A like KOTOR from a rather close 3rd person angle. If your style is more like Baldur's Gate/Neverwinter Nights, then PC is most def. the way to go.

It is, I play isometric. Although the camera doesn't go back quite as far in DA2. I'm a scan the battlefield kind of guy.

Sometimes I have trouble interacting with objects in Gamlens home.

Sometimes when I choose "hold position"...my characters take that literally, even when I take control of them. They will literally stand there and do nothing.

That Best Buy is hell on earth, always crowded and filled with reeruns. The closest Best Buy to me since I moved is a smaller one in Addison, much better.

Haven't had that happen.

I'm about to get back to Merrill's initial quest. Hopefully I don't die horribly.

I'm still 6. I haven't played since last night. I've been tooling around on the forums (stupid I know...). I think it's about time to find Anders. I don't think I'll be able to play the whole game without a healer.

Review that reflects what I think of the game so far:

I just had my first "oh shit!" awesome moment of the game. You'll know it when you see it.

Headed out for a bit, going to eat some dinner, then up the Sundermount to perform the rite.

Yeah, it sucks. Of course, Best Buy kind of sucks in general.

Excalibur came out on blu ray yesterday. I had meant to order it from Amazon.com but forgot to do it, so I figured as long as I was there I'd just go ahead and buy it.

Amazon has the blu ray for $13.99.

Best Buy is charging $29.99 for the same disc.

Needless to say, I'll be picking it up from Amazon. 4321 Best Buy

BTW, love Dragon Age 2. Up to level 5. :thumb:

That's why Amazon Prime rules. Order in the morning, I can have stuff the next day for 3.99 shipping or the day after that for free. It is incredible how much more you pay for the same thing by buying it at a brick and mortar store.
