If Philly doesn't take him, pretty sure I know who the Browns are taking first pick in the 2nd round.

Chargem 03-23-2025 02:47 AM

The Scumbags from Philadelphia select Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College

JPH83 03-23-2025 05:06 AM

Honestly, can't hate the Conerly pick if he's there. Hurts a little to miss out on a guy like Grant, but if the board's like that you've really got to go for it haven't you?

Conerly is the one I'd really like, but I get it.

Who were the guys you loved there Staylor? Guessing Grant is one, right?

I considered Grant heavily, but just didn’t feel like he separates a ton from other DTs right behind him. So, leaning into the depth of the draft there and letting it come to me.

GloucesterChief 03-23-2025 07:55 AM

The Browns select Omarion Hampton, RB, UNC

Chubb is getting long in the tooth and will need to be replaced soon. Hampton can step right in and it further builds the team for a young QB.

smithandrew051 03-23-2025 08:08 AM

Browns fans gotta love how this is going so far

Couch-Potato 03-23-2025 09:09 AM

The New York Giants select Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Giants gonna suck for awhile, they can wait/gamble on Simmons' come back.

Rain Man 03-23-2025 01:07 PM

I covet Grant, but in the Chiefs' situation you have to take a left tackle if you think you've got a good one available.

RealSNR 03-23-2025 08:49 PM

Shit guys, I'm the asshole. I PM'd some picks to staylor and they were both taken.

Let's try this again.

The Tits select Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

That Hampton steal in the 2nd is aces.

staylor26 03-23-2025 11:05 PM

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

This is who I would've taken personally with the Chiefs pick. Hampton was the other guy I loved.

The plan was to take Graham at 5, but Hunter falling to 5 changed things. Still getting a DT like Grant in round 2 makes it all the more sweeter.

smithandrew051 03-23-2025 11:20 PM

As you watch this play out slowly, it becomes obvious that there will be a damn good player available at 31.

NotSure 03-24-2025 01:10 AM

With the 37th pick of the NFL Draft the Las Vegas Raiders select Aireontae Ersery, RT, Minnesota Gophers

I came close to that. Very, very close.

RunKC 03-24-2025 08:18 AM

Yeah I’d probably go with staylor and go Grant for the Chiefs. JT Tuimoloau is such a good prospect to me but I wonder if they go DT bc it’s wide open and DE has 3 starting players and FAU

kccrow 03-24-2025 09:11 AM

The New England Patriots select Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

Vrabel gets his big possession #1 WR in Higgins, who has sneaky good speed and catches everything.

smithandrew051 03-24-2025 10:50 AM

The Chicago Bears select Quinshon Judkins, RB, THE Ohio State University

Zero excuses for Caleb Williams. Bears invested in the OL with more to come. No shortage of weapons.

The New Orleans Saints select Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford

smithandrew051 03-24-2025 11:49 AM

The Chicago Bears select Wyatt Milum, OT/OG, West Virginia

If he can’t translate to NFL OT with his shorter arms, then he projects nicely to take over when Joe Thuney retires.

ntexascardfan 03-24-2025 12:21 PM

The Jets are determined to give Justin Fields everything he needs to succeed.

With their second round pick The New York Jets select, Mason Taylor, TE, LSU.

I might be going mad, but I think he went a few earlier mate.

Titty Meat 03-24-2025 12:56 PM

I'm going to go a little off course here. I have thos guy as the 2nd best QB prospect in the draft I'm pretty confident he's a 1st round pick IRL. I'm not sold on Brock Purdy, I sure as hell wouldn't give him a big contract.

With that said...

The San Fransico 49ers select, Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss

Yes Taylor is gone. I'll give ntexascardfan some time before I change his pick.

Titty Meat 03-24-2025 01:06 PM

Can someone message the next person please?

ntexascardfan 03-24-2025 01:51 PM

Gimme a minute and I'll have another pick in. Guess that's what I get for trying to get my pick in while I work.

ntexascardfan 03-24-2025 01:55 PM

Alright, there's not a WR I like in this range...so the Jets are gonna go Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State

Rain Man 03-24-2025 01:57 PM

You know the rules. Anytime a person picks somebody who's already off the board, they have to chop off a finger.

When you point a finger at someone, 0-3 fingers point back at you.

duncan_idaho 03-24-2025 03:57 PM

Actually, screw it.

Here goes:

Dallas Cowboys select Princely Umanmielen, DE, Ole Miss

Defensive end is one of the Cowboys' needs, though not the highest one, but there was not a RB, DT, or NT that seemed like a non-stretch at that point.

RunKC 03-24-2025 04:55 PM

Colts lost their starting C Kelly and RG Fries so this pick helps fix that.

One of my favorite G prospects that is moving from Tackle to G and should be real nice for a long time.

The Colts select Jonah Savaiinaea, G, Arizona

BossChief 03-24-2025 10:23 PM

Sorry for delay.

The Atlanta Falcons select Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State

Kellerfox 03-24-2025 11:16 PM

The Arizona Cardinals select Alfred Collins, DT, Texas

Hindsight is 20/20… I should have swapped my positional draft order. I also was really tempted to deviate from DL in this spot for the surplus of good positional value available at another position, but I’m fairly confident the Cardinals take DL in the first or second round. I’m sticking to what they need to do to field a minimum defense in 2025.

Pm sent

Rain Man 03-24-2025 11:45 PM

Announcing the selection for the Miami Dolphins is none other than Patrick Surtain, who played in 163 combined games for the Chiefs (55) and Dolphins (108). This is the real Patrick Surtain, not the cheap knockoff who is in the league now.

https://www.palmbeachpost.com/gcdn/a...pjpg&auto=webp https://andscape.com/wp-content/uplo...nior.jpg?w=683

He is glad to help the Dolphins defeat his son's team, so he announces a selection that will do so.

"The Miami Dolphins select OT/G Grey Zabel, North Dakota State."

Rain Man 03-24-2025 11:52 PM

Surtain covers the responsibility of notifying the Bengals that they're on the clock.

BossChief 03-25-2025 03:02 PM

I almost took Grey for the Falcons. Maybe a tad bit of regret that I didn’t.

JPH83 03-25-2025 03:02 PM

Staylor, messaged you some possible picks so I don't hold things up later.

staylor26 03-25-2025 03:28 PM

Ok, going to make Mecca's pick for him so we can keep it moving.

The Cincinnati Bengals select Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

staylor26 03-25-2025 03:29 PM

The Seattle Seahawks select Donovan Jackson, OG, Ohio St.

Yeah, I was glad that he fell to the Dolphins. My initial research for the Dolphins' GM role uncovered a news article that said, "over three-quarters of Dolphins fans want to take a guard with the #13 (first-round) pick." Really, Dolphins fans? A guard with the #13 pick? I thought to myself that I could very likely give them a nice surprise by getting one of the top guard prospects in the second and a "best player available" in the first.

Kellerfox 03-25-2025 03:48 PM

Hindsight is 20/20 - but if I had known Grey would be there at 47, I would have gone DT in the first (Nolen) for the Cardinals and Grey at 47. Honestly would have happily settled for confidently getting Jackson at 47 too. I worried that there were too many Guard needy teams.

Doubt it.

The Green Bay Packers select Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame

kccrow 03-25-2025 09:33 PM

The Los Angeles Chargers select J.T. Tuimoloau, DE, The Ohio State University

Too many great options for LA here, so I went with the highest-rated player on my board. Khalil Mack is 34 years old, so replacing him long-term is a must. Tuimoloau, Tuipolotu, and Nolen will be a great start to a stellar defensive front (Good Lord I hope this doesn't really happen).

RunKC 03-26-2025 09:35 AM

Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott have watched the Chiefs beat them yet again with little pressure to Mahomes. Then they watch the Eagles skull **** Mahomes with the same OL that whipped their ass.

The objective is clear. The Bills opt for the DT with the highest pass rush win rate.

The Bills select Omar Norman-Lott DT Tennessee

JPH83 03-26-2025 10:22 AM

The Panthers are desperately thin at DE, they just need something that represents a solid floor. Toss up with Jack Sawyer, but...

The Panthers select Landon Jackson, DE, Arkansas

But man, their roster REALLY sucks, could pick just about anyone in any position

At least when I ****ed up earlier, it happened on a weekend.

smithandrew051 03-27-2025 07:00 AM

The Baltimore Ravens select Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

Nasty secondary incoming.

Man, y'all just making this really easy for Duncan, aren't ya?

Meanwhile I was stuck with Garrett ****ing Bradberry.

This would be a pretty fantastic board at this point of the draft for KC. I mean I can count at least 6 guys out there right now that I'd love to get in KC. And I haven't even gone to the offensive side of the ball yet.

I thought the same thing.

I saw the board and was typing my post when Sawyer was taken. When he came off the board I whittled that list down to 2 from one group, 2 from another and set about deciding which group I thought would be more likely to slide to the Titans pick...

I'd have cussed out Run for taking Scourton and then probably taken Conerly.

Would've been a coin flip between him and Grant, but if my goal is to come out of these first 3 picks with 1 OL, 1 DL and then either a 2nd DL or a CB depending on the board, the best way to do that there would've been to go with Conerly knowing that the OL choices were gonna be pretty poor at the back of 2.

Might have been too cute by half, but with that board and a close call between a couple different options, trying to 'game' the board would've been my approach and so I'd have probably gone with Conerly.

I'm not gonna lie -- this 2nd round went better for that approach that we have any reasonable right to expect it to go come draft day.

I mean this damn board is a goldmine right now. I mean if someone had MY board and took the top 4 guys off it before the Titans pick, I'd still have someone I really really like sitting there.

I don’t know. I think I only see 3 guys that don’t strike me as pretty locked in guys to go as early as they do (the two WRs and Mason Taylor). And those aren’t crazy picks.

I think you can be decently confident there will be someone KC wants at a position of at least mild need at 63.

RunKC 03-27-2025 02:47 PM

Bills still need defense. Benford and Johnson are fine but teams just beat the hell out of Rasul Douglas and Kair Elam. The Chiefs also destroyed them in the slot where they were weak.

This kid is older but he fits them perfectly. Zone coverage experience but can play man. Size and elite athleticism. Projection seems ideal here for them.

The Bills select Darien Porter CB Iowa State

Yeah Grant was really close for me but I felt that the Omar Norman-Lott was not a big drop off compared to Scourton and the 2nd rd guys. Thank God I did that bc Crow took Tuimoloau right before me like I thought he would.

Chiefs are 4 deep right now with Karlaftis, Omenihu, Danna and Felix (who I think is better than given credit for).

I think if the Chiefs don’t go tackle and elect for a DL in rd 1, it’s gonna be a DT like Grant. They need to replace Turk’s pass rush.

staylor26 03-27-2025 02:54 PM

The Chiefs are currently sprinting to the podium

duncan_idaho 03-27-2025 03:04 PM

Laughter abounds once again in the Chiefs war room as they review the latest Bills disaster.

Mike Bradway, around uncontrolled fits of breathless laughter, chokes out "Don't ever change, Brandon!"

The laughter subsides as Veach signals for calm. "I'm making the call. Send him up."

-- Cut to the stage. Trent McDuffie strolls onto the stage, his stride as smooth as his backpedal, confidence in every step.

He steps to the podium. "Hey, condolences to Darien. History is about to repeat itself.

"With the 63rd pick in the NFL draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina.

"But don't worry, Darien. At least Buffalo is a fun place to li-..."

McDuffie breaks down laughing, unable to keep a straight face.
