Announcers called him out too.. It happens at least one time a game when Steele is in on a passing down.

Chiefnj2 11-19-2024 06:37 AM

McKinnon would have been a better option

pugsnotdrugs19 11-19-2024 07:06 AM

I’d send him to the practice squad and roll with Clyde as RB4.

LMAO

I'm glad we've got CEH on the roster for...reasons?

Silver lining...

Watch Trey Smith! He is destroying his man all the way to the end of the clip.

In fact he was doing it all game, so much so that the refs finally had to call unnecessary roughness. lol

I would love to see CEH become the guy we thought we drafted!

I see why Reid likes Steele so much; it's his versatility. He can play both backfield positions, return kicks, and play special teams, and plays them all with a full head of steam. That's a nice player to try and develop, but so far I haven't seen any flashes that he can be really good at any of those roles.

He's a jack of all trades, and we all know how much Andy and Toub love those guys. I don't think this dude is going anywhere for a while, might as well get used to it.

Except...he can't.

No more so than I can, anyway.

He's not a jack of all trades - he's simply sub-standard at every single thing we ask him to do.

It's pretty ridiculous that this guy is on the roster at this point. He doesn't know what he's doing and blows up 2-3 plays seemingly every single game.

Even if he did what you mentioned and did it well, he is still a liability when it comes to pass protection and ball security. If he can’t hold the ball when running it, I don’t want him returning any kicks. It’s too much of a risk that he will fumble at the most in opportune time. Plus he lacks any break away speed.

It would help if we didn't hand him the ball almost every time we send him in there. Talk about telegraphing your plays.

You're preaching to the choir here, I'm definitely ready to move on. I guess I should have phrased it as they *think* he can eventually be a guy who can do all those things at a quality level, or they wouldn't be playing him.

I have a difficult time not trusting our coaches at this point, but they do tend to get hard ons for certain guys that always seems to baffle us. I'm not going to complain if they keep winning Super Bowls, but it's definitely annoying.
