Worst case scenario but no real surprise then.

They should go out and sign a washed Hunter Renfrow type for WR depth. Skyy Moore is effectively unplayable.

Dante84 09-29-2024 06:14 PM

The trainers know. They do the drawer test and it’s usually accurate.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-29-2024 06:19 PM

If this shit happens, you want it to happen now. Not late in the year when you don’t have time to figure it out.

Mahomes and Reid. Believe in that if nothing else.

I said when we signed JuJu, he might be a big time signing if Rashee had to miss time cause he can fill that chain-mover role a little bit. Thankful to have that and he should be better suited to succeed with a week of game prep as the starter.

Cut Skyy.

Still time to make a trade and I think they will — question is how sexy will it be. But obviously it’s all about the threepeat — hence the return of Kareem Hunt, our best RB.

We are still winning Super Bowl LIX.

Hammock Parties 09-29-2024 06:19 PM

Need to start using Kareem in the passing game more, he's fully capable of it.

3-peat with all these weapons getting hurt will be a major step toward GOAT status.

For Reid and Mahomes alike.

And what about all these TEs? Kelce/Gray/Wiley can basically become big WRs.

Mahomes/Reid will adjust. Worthy coming out in a big way will help.

It’s almost better that it was early in the season. Gives us more time to figure it out. Also, puts Rice in better position to be healthy next year unlike Fisher getting hurt in the AFCCG.

There's no question that losing Rice is a massive blow for January, but Mahomes/Reid have plenty of time to adjust the offense to his absence. They'll be fine.

I still don't want to see Skyy running routes and getting targets for much longer though.

The worst part is that it makes the “next” injury hurt more. Rice hurt more because we lost Hollywood already.

If we’re able to get Pacheco and Hollywood back, then there’s no reason to think this offense shouldn’t still be much better than last year.

I think Worthy is starting to break out.

Last season was a struggle. The defense carried the team. And Rice emerged as a great target. We don't win the SB last season without his production.

Who will be last season's Rice on this team? Can Worthy be that guy?

Worthy + playoffs Hollywood + some other bandaid they find I guess. Maybe Wiley?

I think so. He's already running a more complete route tree than Rice did until maybe the playoffs.

staylor26 09-29-2024 06:40 PM

For now it's going to be Kelce + Worthy with Gray, JuJu, and Watson sprinkled in.

Hopefully we can trade for Cooper, Hopkins, Diontae Johnson, or somebody like that before the deadline. I really don't expect Hollywood to be back because there just hasn't been much optimism there.

We'll be fine though.

notorious 09-29-2024 06:41 PM

FloridaMan88 09-29-2024 06:41 PM

If Rice gets suspended to start next season, does he have to be on the active roster… and not on the PUP list… to be counted as a suspended game?

Lots of unknowns there. Playoff Hollywood may not be a thing. Wiley hasn't played much with Kelce and Gray taking those snaps. He's a draft pick for the future after Kelce retires.

I'd like for Juju to step up but 2024 Juju appears far different than 2022 Juju.

It's probably Worthy plus someone else who isn't on the current roster. No true #1 but you don't necessarily need that with two solid WRs, Kelce, and a run game.

Obviously the return of the 2018 Chiefs offense many were hoping for is postponed. However, there's other ways to win games.

I’m just not sure those teams will trade those guys unless it’s for an overpay. Idk what the line is there but I’d say our 3rd rd pick at the absolute most.

There’s a lot of quality WR’s to trade for but here’s one I could see: Demarcus Robinson. He was a solid rotational guy here and he’s been really nice since he left.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-29-2024 06:44 PM

The fact that they already tried to get Diontae Johnson makes me think that would be the most likely move.

Flip a 4th or 5th for one of those WRs and roll on

UChieffyBugger 09-29-2024 06:44 PM

The great thing is WE KNOW Juju can produce in this offense and when he did he only had MVS, Mecole and Watson around him. Juju and Worthy are decent. We'll see what Veach has up his sleeve. Jalin Hyatt has not been used properly in New York and maybe could be had for cheap. Or maybe someone like Ross gets elevated and breaks out. I'm sure Veach and Reid will be have big discussions tonight. Michael Thomas might be a Kareem type in waiting? Who knows.

RaidersOftheCellar 09-29-2024 06:44 PM

My guess is they will likely advise Rice now to plead guilty and take a deal (suspended jail sentence + a fine or whatever it will end up being), which will trigger some kind of suspension from NFL.

I don’t think they’d do it but honestly Demarcus Robinson would be a nice fit. He’s not a great wr in structure but he’s really good when plays break down. I feel like we just need reliable field stretchers.

At this point you gotta also kick the tires on Nikko remigio because there is zero reason for skyy to be out there. And if Ross isn’t the guy in this situation what’s the point of having him around at all
