I just don't understand why people still talk shit - ANY kind of shit, no matter how benign - about or any in way tangentially related to Patrick Mahomes. That guy is petty as shit and has rabbit ears. And he's really really really good at football.

He's gonna make you wish you hadn't said that. Ask all those Broncos that are openly gnashing teeth after yet another loss to him every year. The guy's gonna mind-**** you. It won't be pretty.

Exactly. There was always someone eager to talk shit to/about Michael Jordan, and he made them pay every time. Some people never learn.

I mean they were already on his list , getting moved up the list might not change much but it sure won’t help , some people never learn .

Those stories are legendary.

"Tough night, Mike..."

Jordan set the standard. Kobe was his spiritual successor. Patrick is right there with any of those guys.

Heard the story on The Last Dance where early in Jordan's career he was playing golf with Danny Ainge (if memory serves me right) and he was struggling and Ainge said something and Jordan responded that he was going to light up the Celtics in the following playoff game. He then went on to have one of, if not the greatest playoff performances in NBA history against the Bird led Celtics.

Guarantee Chase is saying that bc the Bengals have beaten us 3 of 4 times, once in the Championship game.

They still don’t respect us. They think our win last year was pure happenstance and happened bc their teammate was an idiot.

Go check out any Bengals forum and you’ll see the same thing. They really think they’re better than us.

No issues with that, but to say Burrow is better despite all evidence that says otherwise is silly.

redfan 06-14-2023 09:42 AM

Whatever it takes for him to purge the memory of his most recent loss to KC. You do what you need to cope with it, JC.

We could easily say that least two of the Bengals' victories over the Chiefs were gifts from KC. One was the AFCCG where Mahomes went full reerun for no apparent reason (and still took them to OT), and the other was a fumble by Kelce a millionth of a second before he was down by contact.

That's if we want to make excuses. Personally, all I care about is the most recent meeting.

Rainbarrel 06-14-2023 10:51 AM

The first one was a gift as well. 3rd and Forever mistake by Spags. That game also had a kick return TD by Chiefs that was called back on a very silly holding penalty. The guy didn’t need to grab anyone.

In all honesty, I know they’re a great team. Legit good and while we’re better they’ve played us as well as anybody. Getting their OL healthy makes them a much better team and we’re still inconsistent against their defense. Great qb and talented wr for one of the worst football markets. The difference is we’re confident where they’re arrogant. Many of us were unsettled by Justin Reid poking Chase. Bengals rode the burrowhead wave in the cringiest way possible.

It’s the reason I don’t want to just beat them this year. I want to throttle them. There will come a time soon when their freebies stop playing for free. And then it’s going to be a way bigger uphill climb. But I don’t want to wait that long. It would be nice to have a decisive win against cincy and I think we’re very capable of it even though they have a tremendous cap advantage.

Pretty close to blowing them out in 3 of the 4 games. KC still hasn’t played a complete game against them. We’ll see if they can eventually put it all together.

Inconsistent against their defense? We put up 23 points in the AFCCG with Mahomes on one leg and TE's running routes for WR because MVS was the only WR we could get on the field.

The Bengals defense can't really stop the Chiefs.

**** the Bengals.

Just give Mahomes fuel to add to the fire.

Fat Elvis 06-14-2023 11:33 AM

Not sure why you are all getting your panties in a bundle....it's pretty obvious from the clip that Chase was saying, "Pat who?" pretty tongue in cheek. He got a laugh out of it as did everyone else in the room. I think it was pretty funny, and I'm pretty sure Mahomes would think it was funny as well. If the Chiefs need that clip as locker room material to get motivated for the Bengals, then we have some pretty significant problems.

Honestly, I appreciate it. After this year I figured the league would have finally learned their lesson on this, but we owe it to those still willing to put fuel on the fire and continue to slight our franchise QB.

The Patriots claimed that nobody believed in them when they were betting favorites to win the Super Bowl. That’s just one example of a team creating some extra motivation for themselves.

Point is, he could have just said something like "Mahomes is good, but I'm happy to have Joe as my qb" or something to that effect.
Mahomes and the team have proven over and over that it's not a great idea to poke the bear because they will make you pay for it.

All the great athletes tend to look for something to give them that extra little bit of motivation.

Not seeing any bundled panties, just a lot of laughing at the guy.

Mahomes' trainer posted "thank you", so it could have some kind of motivational factor in the dog days of summer. I've always thought players really don't care, but between the effort in the AFFCG and many comments made (like Kelce's jabroni comment), the doubters and so forth have some impact on them.

Maybe we’ve found the formula against their defense. But I can’t slight them. They play us as well as anyone. We have an elite offense that has had bad 4th quarters in 3 of the 4 games. Sure, our injuries are a good reason for the recent 4th quarter issues. But until we truly put them away it’s part of the story.

I mean, burrow throttled us 2/4 times but we’re quick to pin the last bad one on burrow despite playing with 3/5 of his OL injured. Because you could easily make the same argument that we’ve been bad in 3/4 fourth quarters… except last game, like burrow, we had an injury excuse.

Burrow with a healthy OL will press our offense. And cincys defense is good enough to get the stops many other defenses can’t against us to keep things tight. It’s a much more even matchup than we want to admit.

Hmm, true.

We had double-digit leads in the first game @ CIN in 2021 and then again in the 2021 AFCCG. Then @ CIN in 2022 we had the lead and were driving before Kelce fumbled and in the 2022 AFCCG we also had the league and were driving before Pat's inexplicable fumble.

They don't worry me a ton, though. Their defense has overachieved these last two years and I expect that to slow down. They've also been pretty lucky with injuries (save their OL late last season) and I'd expect them to experience some nicks and bruises on one of their core guys just to balance things out.

I think they're saying they are reeruned.

I looked up the definition on urban dictionary and this is what it comes up with:

Someone who eats instead of smokes crystal meth, which some in tweeker circles consider less addictive than smoking it because it doesn't have the same instant rush that smoking it does.

It’s easy for them to forget facts when you follow the team 1 month of the season then hibernate the rest. Hate their fans. Hate their team. Just saying if we’re being real they are our biggest rival for a reason. While we’re better, they’re really good competition for us. I just wish it was in a better sports market.

Hey man. If you are the type to let disrespect slide, and go unpunished, then you must deep down have a taste for it. Smile? Laugh about it? I don't think so.

If you think that Patrick Mahomes is laughing about a rival player pretending to have never heard of him in response to being told his own qb said that Patrick was the best, then you apparently have not followed the legacy of Patrick Mahomes very closely.

I assure you, Patrick Mahomes is not laughing at this ****ing clown.

But he will be, when he pushes their shit in twice in a span of 2-3 weeks on his way to another Superbowl.

You think he's not gonna ram a football up y'alls ass over this one? If you're really nice to him from this point forward, he'll at least put it in there point first. Otherwise he's gonna shove that ****er in sideways.

Calm down. Bengals only lose to the Chiefs once every 10 years or so.

I know who Pat is. I like Pat. But the fact remains...Ja'Marr could kick Pat's ass every day of the week and multiple times on the weekend.

Why do you all keep posting this like a bunch of reeruns? If the Bengals could play the Chiefs in the SB, they'd win 90% of them. Just like they do in the regular and post season.

When does Jamarr get his ring? Oh yeah, he plays for shitty ohio team that will never win a damn thing. The only thing that sucks more than Cincy is that dogshit chili those inbreds pride themselves on.

You can talk about Bengals players all you want but keep your damn dirty whore mouth shut about Skyline.

I just had some for dinner. Mmmmmmmm.

Ummm... The Chiefs are 1-1 vs. the Bengals in the playoffs, and they should be 2-0 if we don't blow the end of the first half 2 years ago... but keep on keepin' on as your window is getting smaller and smaller...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe our one legged qb beat your sorry ass team to move on to the superbowl to then (unlike your sorry ass qb)go on to win the superbowl on one leg against a team that literally everyone except Nick Wright was picking to win by double digits. You ain't winning shit as long as Mahomes is in the league bitch

You'd be 0-2 if the Bengals didn't blow the end of the game last year.

Your team is 3-8 at Arrowhead since 1983. You’ll be playing regular season games at Arrowhead for the next 3 years. In 4 playoff half’s of football the last 2 AFC Title Games, the Bengals have managed to outplay the Chiefs for exactly ONE half of football, nothing more.

Quit being another dumb**** reerun Bungles fan.

Two QBs threw 2 INTs in an AFC Championship game.

One of them has a shit ton of hardware, and the other has nothing, including a playoff 4th quarter TD pass in his career

So you’ve chosen ‘another dumb**** reerun Bungles fan’ . . . . . . .

Shouldn’t have expected any different from a fan of a trophy less franchise.

Hope you enjoyed those 3 point regular season victories in Cincy. They seem to mean a lot to you . . . . .

I changed no narratives.

Just about every Chiefs fan acknowledges the 2021 AFCC was Mahomes' fault.

Are Bengals fans intelligent and self-aware enough to blame their ringless wonder QB for coming up short?

You're using way to many periods. An ellipsis has only 3.

Get over the AFC Title Game loss, buddy. It’ll be okay.

I’m sure one day your elite franchise will win something that matters . . . . .

Did you type that with a straight face?

You're right. It was his fault but what most Chiefs fans cite is luck by the Bengals or some kind of cosmic abberation...literally excusing away any real blame from Mahomes, actually for every single loss to the Bengals. If Mahomes this, if Kelce that, if luck, if contract. All i see are a bunch of excuses.

To answer your question, Burrow blew it last year. He had the ball in his hands at the end of the game and couldn't get them in position to kick the GW FG. He had done it before halftime, but couldn't at the end.
