How quickly are single game tickets selling out these days and how many seats are reserved for season ticket holders? And how about lower deck tickets around the 50 selling out?
The ticket rep told me that tickets go on sale at 8.30am Friday KC time, which would be 11.30pm Friday my time. I'll aim to get a gameplan together on Friday to grab tix asap once they go on sale that night. Really really holding out for at least two home games in the first three weeks, assuming the season opener is a home game. Looking at the past few season it looks like its 50/50. |

You can reach most major cities within a ~2.5 to 3 hour flight from KC though, so your options really aren't all that limited if you have a few days to kill. I'd personally say no to the Ozarks unless you're planning on camping or love boating, but haven't really spent a ton of time there to say what else is there, either. |

If you go to a shooting range, try to pick one that lets you rent/shoot a automatic rifle. Nothing more fun than to blow $200 downrange in under a minute.

If you actually have an FFL3 license and have ownership of fully auto, they will allow you to shoot there. I've seen it... |

Does anyone know much about how tickets purchased through Ticketmaster interface with Seatgeek and Stubhub?

Think single game tix go on sale tomorrow at like 10 Central
Locals get dibs an hour early but you may have a shot at what’s left |

Now we got the new airport lurkers paradise for people who very rarely set foot in KC. Thanks, Mayor Q! |

My feeling was that I should be sooner rather than later given demand for the season opener. |

Chiefs sell on Ticketmaster. If you see a seat marked blue, that's the Chiefs price. Red seats are resellers.
|
Yup in the first case I'm aiming to grab tickets via Ticketmaster sold by the team. Fingers crossed.
Right now the reseller tickets (which I assume are season ticket holders offering up tickets prior to general sale) prices are looking wild, can I expect the general ticket prices to be less when sold by the team? |

TicketsForLess is one exception, as luv mentioned... I've personally never seen decent deals on there besides nosebleeds, but some people like them. And yeah, tickets sold by the team will be less, but still pretty expensive for lower level... obviously the Mahomes factor, but even before then they were trying to meet scalper prices it seemed. |

Do these prices look accurate to you? Sent to me by the ticket rep re: last year's prices. https://i.imgur.com/7GIKqbEl.jpg |
Two places I'd recommend would be the Negro League Museum and the American Jazz Museum. They are co-located and you used to buy a ticket that would let you into both.
https://www.nlbm.com/ https://www.americanjazzmuseum.org/ Just 3 blocks east and around the corner is Arthur Bryant's BBQ. Some here on the board will poo-poo it, but it's REAL KC BBQ, not like "some places" that feel like they have to tout their side dishes because they're too lazy to properly smoke the meat. And white tablecloths? Bitch, please. I will admit it isn't as good as when Mr. Arthur was alive, but the sauce is the real deal. If it's good enough to serve just about every American President (1 notable exception) since Truman, it's good enough for you. https://www.arthurbryantsbbq.com/ |
Oh! If you need a spot to tailgate for the home opener, you're welcome to crash ours. We're in the grass median on the outskirts of Lot F (nearest lot marker is F24). I'll see if I can't make up some sort of CP marker to stick in the ground (or decorate a cone we have). We're not an official CP tailgate spot, but people will usually at least drop by for a minute to say hello. Don't worry about bringing anything. Hearing you talk will probably be payment enough. :)

There's nothing like Arrowhead in prime time... and damn, the home opener of the defending champs.
Get there as early as possible. If the gates open 5 hours before kickoff, tailgate for 4+ hours. Soak it all in. Eat BBQ until you hate yourself. (just don't drink so much you don't remember the game). Get to your seat early and soak in being that close to the field, behind the Chiefs bench, and catch all of the pregame stuff. :toast: |
Same here. Travelling from London to New York for our week 4 game against the Jets. I'll be doing the chop amongst all the home fans.

I was there in December walking around some museum and then all of a sudden in one room you see Van Gogh's starry night. Wow. |
Someone should notify the local media so that they can come out and interview our Aussie Chiefs fan so he can become a local celebrity. And no, I'm not talking about the KC Star.

But in the end, for this trip, I decided earlier in the season would be better despite the games probably meaning more later in the year. The Dec/Jan cold, the potential snow and how that could affect driving, and the horrible thought of Patty or Travis or both being injured later in the season and not getting to see them play after having committed to the trip long beforehand. Plus the ring ceremony nudged me further toward an early season visit. Quote:

Do not miss New York if you have any chance to visit. See Manhattan and also go to Brooklyn Heights and walk around the Dumbo pier area. It's a great place to see the Statue of Liberty and that area is super cool and fun. You will absolutely thank me if you go to Brooklyn Heights. You'll have a way better day than you will in Times Square. click here |

I used to be a decent video editor back in the day. So I'm hoping to buy a GoPro to record my trip and edit together a nice video if I can resurrect that skill. Quote:

Help with seat choice!
I am new to this forum and looking for a little help. I am taking my family to arrowhead for the first time and wanted to see if the tickets I picked were good especially for my kids. We are sitting in section 117 row 4. My kids are 11 and 12 years old and I just want to make sure they will be able to see. I know many stand in the lower section and I am not sure if they will have issues seeing over others heads. Can anyone please weigh in on my seat choice. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

FTR, I have season tickets but they are in section 303. I don't mind as the view is still pretty decent, even up there. Well, except for when the seats around me are sold to opposing fans. :banghead: Some of them I want to strangle. :# |

But that said, the kids will be able to easily go down by the rail before the game to get an up close view of the players on the sideline, so that alone will probably make those seats worth it. |

Thank you for everyone's response, it is so helpful. LZen, I wish I was loaded, been saving for a year and got a little lucky on the seats. Bought them right when tickets went on sale and got them much cheaper than they are now. Ticket prices look much pricier than last year! I guess a few Super Bowl wins will do that! I have been to a lot of games here in California but excited for first Arrowhead Game.
