First time watching his tape and this kid looks really good. Has speed and is bendy for his large size. In one play he was triple-teamed and still managed to sack the QB.
|
Got some weird ass names at DE. Karlaftis, Omenihu, and Anudike-Uzomah. Reminds me of when our secondary was a Key and Peele sketch.
|
I feel like the Chiefs did very well with pick 31. This guy is quality and not a reach IMO. We have 9 more picks. There will be movement tomorrow for sure. I'm pretty excited with this pick.

He's pretty clearly a Chiefs-type pick. He's self-made hard-worker with a non-stop motor.

Very safe pick for KC, in my opinion. I don't like him right now against the run but he's going to be able to grow into it here which is good. Certainly brings a great speed rush off the edge right away in sub-packages and our edge rotation should be fresher throughout games. He's similar to a younger Frank Clark to me, so Veach/Spags definitely seem to have a type at RDE.
My only real disappointment is passing on Hyatt. He could have put that explosive player back in the KC offense. But eh, there are plenty of WRs that might do that yet. Kind of hopeful they make a move up for Benton tomorrow, really want that cat on the interior DL. |
One great thing about the pick is we are officially set on DL, for now. I kind of ****ing love that. Two young up and coming edges.

I don’t want Nnadi playing any significant number of snaps. I’ve seen enough. |

He a good edge rusher. Can turn a corner and plays like he playing to get some food for some hungry orphans.
|
By the way, congrats staylor, I know you pined for this kid quite a bit.
|
Any idea of his coverage grade or how well he sets the edge? DJLN?

Love this pick
|
I feel like he’s going to be a perfect compliment to karlaftis in that they’ll both be good solid players
Maybe not elite but they’re just gonna be real good every year Dudes young too. |
It’s painful to see how many draft experts on this board don’t watch college football. this kid came from our backyard and played 2 hours away….

Because it's NOT Frank Clark. And never will be ever again. So I would like to welcome our newest Chief: Not Frankclark! |
Sets the edge gets you 8 sacks a year I'll take that all day

I thought one of those guys that went in the last half of the draft were going to fall to us, but FAU was my worst case scenario pick (in terms of how the board falls). Bascially, there are quite a few guys I would've taken had they fallen, but he was my BPA (outside of Porter Jr.) |
I would still like to bring in a free agent DE on a one year deal like Dunlop or Clark. Let that player take most of the snaps early, and increase snaps for Felix as he gets acclimated.

Seems like his biggest weakness would be mitigated here and his strengths would play WAY up. Unless he's just dumb or an asshole... |
1-19 was amazing for us, 20-30 was just brutal for us, and so we made the best of a tough board, in a pretty tough draft year.
King Felix will be a good player for us. |
His dad is a ****ing douche. Wouldn't surprise me if it was the same with the kid.

pretty good
but what does adding a 4.73 40 do to this score? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FuxczKMW...g&name=900x900 |

Loved this player and fit.
Spags going to see Justin Tuck. |

His best position appears to be when he is aligned on the outside shoulder of the tackle. That's his strength. His effectiveness does decrease if he has to play inside shoulder of the tackle. Overall, if the Chiefs keep him as strictly an outside edge with an occasional inside on obvious 3rd and long passing downs, I think he'll do just fine in Spags aggressive scheme. |

Two last names. Will fit in beautifully

What a pick. Mahomes can win another SB with him.

20 yard shuttle-3rd That’s his how his numbers compared to the DE’s that ran at the combine. Pretty damn good |

And if he adds some muscle in the weight room that will drive it up even more. |
Meh

40 time for a DT/DE is irrelevant. The 10 yard and 20 yard and 3 cone times are more important (as well as bench press). |

Gonna make my best case scenario reasonably obscure NFL comp for him.
Shaun Phillips? (You gonna steal this one too, KCSN guys???? Jabaal Sheard...****ing kidding me?) |
Felix is a hard worker, I will give him that

I'm good with this pick. That said, I don't think Veach is going to be sitting on his hands tomorrow. I'd look for him to bundle some of those low round picks and move up in the 2nd and 3rd to grab a TE and RT.
I'm really OK with our WRs right now. KT will have all off season to work with our trainers, Moore will have a little more love from PMII, and I think Justyn Ross is going to be a stud. MVS will be good for 700-800 yards and Watson will be the occasional contributor and ST guy. You'll have 5 guys battling for that #6 WR spot. |
