Maybe they can add Neimann, too.

Saints board is exited and pumped.
They should be, he will probably ball out the first season, maybe the second. When he decides to check out they better be prepared. |

Sounds pretty close to what we gave Reid.

Godspeed to Honey Badger in New Orleans.
He was instrumental in all of us celebrating a well-deserved Super Bowl title. Nothing but love from here. |
Irony Saints get
Dirty Dan Sorensen one of the best hitters you don't want to get hit by but slow and slow. Would try to make the play if he could. Honey Badger quick great with his hands smart but hates to get in there and hit a guy for a tackle. Played not to get hurt rather give up on a tackle and let someone else tackle. |

Saints are idiots. 18 mil guranteed for his old ass.

I don't have any problem with the Saints move on Sorenson, we were never going to re-sign him. Like him or hate him, he always gave 100% on the field. Mathieu dug his own grave here with first calling out the fans and then talking about "business decisions". The unwillingness to hit, the hands in the air, and all the other BS got pretty tiresome. I thank both of them for their service here, sans 2021, but it was just time to say goodbye.

Then $15 million in asswipe money in year 3? Whatever. Don't give a shit. Not my problem anymore. |

His brain still has it, but I don't think his body does. Those knees and small frame are not going to enjoy that surface in NO.

Probably a fair deal for what amounts to 2 years, $9m per. Though I'm content with moving on, that's still pretty good value if he has anything left in the tank.

One of my favorite Mathieu plays:

The Saints paid too much and are going to get too little...

Do we get a comp pick next year from him.

I assume it will not and they officially completed deal after that time. |

Best of luck to him. Chiefs upgraded, he won't be missed.

This is where I agree with the statement that at times, TM wanted someone else to make the tackle.
He can be partly to blame here too. |
Just another reason like Bort Vender he let a declining player go. King Carl would have extended Tyrann and Sorensen for 5 more years.
I bet he can't wait to get Frank Clark off the books and then will be in more control of the cap. He saved us a lot and got younger faster and some real tacklers. I think our coverage will look better rather sooner than later. I think this defense is going be ahead of schedule because these young kids are hungry and can get to the ball carrier a lot faster and make a play. I always look at week 8 as the turning point if they are going feast or famine. I'm stoked for the opportunity the young rooks have because they will bring it and coached up by Spags. |

He was a good player for us and a leader on the defense. Obviously the secondary has been upgraded in a major way, but we probably don't win the Super Bowl without the attitude and coordination of the defense that he did. Leaders like that do more than shows up on the stat sheet. I'm glad he was here.
