Exactly -- if you'd rank order NFL teams, Texans would be about right in the middle. Couldn't really ask for an easier playoff game.

I agree, This is our worst possible draw out of the three. I don't like watson against our defense, he has enough athleticism to extend plays and negate our pass rush, their running game is unpredictable in the sense that a lot of first down plays are not runs but shot or play action plays with a checkdown. Hopkins is in top form. We don't cover rb's all that well. If the crowd shows up on time and makes a lot of noise in the first half it will really help us, as would a wet, snowy, muddy, cold field. If the conditions are good, its gonna be a shootout at best. We are going to have to score some points if we are going to win this game.

They have a good quarterback.

Good quarterbacks always give you a chance.

I’d feel a lot better if Thornhill hadn’t gotten hurt too.

Their fans should be scared.

These savages in KC wouldn’t lose again till next November.

Here we are...6 wins later and 3 wins from winning it all.

If there's a team I'm afraid of, it's Tennessee. They are the buzzsaw.

Not the Texans. This should be an easy W on the way to the SB.

Watson stunk it up the entire first half, threw for 247 yards and was sacked 7 Times!

But if we have to play them, I’ll welcome it. We’ll trash that secondary again.

Plus, they would be traveling for the 4th straight week. We’ll just be playing our second consecutive home game after a bye. They’ll be worn down.

Chieftain 01-04-2020 11:26 PM

As I mentioned in the other thread, Baltimore faces the tougher opponent. Houston D is trash. They played a lousy Bills offense today and almost lost. Mahomes will eat them alive.

I would agree the Titans are tougher. But I don't think the Titans defense is very good. Ravens could very well drop 40 on them. My hope is that Henry and the Titans OL will give a physical beating to the Ravens front 7, soften them up for the Chiefs game.

Patrick Mahomes ain't no Josh Allen.

GET ON THE BUS!

Nobody is worried about Mahomes in this game, I'm worried about the fix, which is real but not necessarily a fait d'accompli. I'm worried about a super athletic quarterback that is a top five athlete in the nfl and posssibly the second or third best reciever in the nfl torching our defense. A defense which has been mostly focused on shutting down vastly inferior teams' running games the last five weeks and has allowed an alarming amount of yards to rb's via receptions.
One that lost it's deep safety last week. Look for Watson to pass a lot, check down or chuck every first down and scramble a bunch.

Mikulik 01-04-2020 11:31 PM

What wide receiver has torched our defense this year? Please name one.

Chark from the Jags is the only one to have a huge game against us, but that was week 1. Edelman had a pretty good game and so did Keenan Allen in Week 17.

Other than that, we haven’t had a wide receiver torch us.

His arm is good enough to get the job done. But I do hope for a snow game. This is where Mahomes' arm talent becomes even more obvious compared to other QB's around the league. And Houston as a team does not play very many games in cold weather.

I've seen nuk torch enough quality defenses that I know it's a real possibility. Watson beat us in much the same manner we beat NE a few weeks ago. He is a really incredible athlete who has a history of winning championships. We haven't seen a WR like hopkins other than Keenan and they are awfully similar. Hopkins is healthy and a handful for our secondary. I'm not saying we will lose, just that I'd rather face the other two teams and this game will not be a blowout or in any way easy. We are going to have to score some points because unless the weather is bad they will put at least 3 td's on the scoreboard.

Kinda how I feel.

Watson can negate our pass rush, and their receivers are better than our DBs.

This is a problem for us, as it makes us put less attention on the running game.

I think we will need 28 to win.

Chiefs offense died when Mahomes' ankle got screwed up in the 2nd quarter of that first Texans game. Without that fluke injury, Chiefs would have cruised to victory. I'm not saying it will be easy for the Chiefs to win, but I am saying the Texans probably won't get that kind of flukey injury help this time. Hell, maybe the roles will be reversed and Deshaun's ankle will be shredded for over 50% of the game.

7 days of being concerned over Chief's history

I'll be just sitting near the fire wearing my Mahomes' jersey and trying to keep my blood pressure in the fringe of the safe area on game day between the Texans and Chiefs. I bet this may be the best game of the series including the big game between the Chiefs vs Ravens.

I have faith that we are the chosen, I don't think we're the best. I hope it's our day to shine.

You are being a little homerish.

This is a good football team and we are down our best deep cover man.

I think it's a one score game.

Mahomes isn't losing to a shitty Texans team that should have lost to the shitty Bills.

Kinda how I feel.

Watson can negate our pass rush, and their receivers are better than our DBs.

This is a problem for us, as it makes us put less attention on the running game.

I think we will need 28 to win.

We didn’t lose bc of Watson. We lost bc we couldn’t stop the run.

Watson has 280 yards, 1 TD/2 INT with his weapons

We beatin dat ass

Jerok 01-05-2020 12:17 AM

Wait, we still have another day of football, and then a whole WEEK to wait? Ah well, the costs of getting that bye I guess.

RunKC 01-05-2020 12:18 AM

Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle were our starting 2 WR’s the last time they played. They got the most snaps, followed by Hardman.

Erving was our LT. Pat’s hurt ankle got re-injured.

And he still put up 3 TD’s.

The Texans defense is ass even with Watt who is incredibly rusty off surgery/rehab.
We have a defense mother****er AND we will put up at least 30.

We ****in these assholes up

RunKC 01-05-2020 12:21 AM

Seriously wtf is wrong with you Clay? We’re going to **** the Texans up similarly to the way they got ****ed up in Baltimore.

We’ll be ready

milkshock 01-05-2020 12:28 AM

More worried about this than the Colts game last year

Strongside 01-05-2020 12:30 AM

Some of you must not have watched the game today. Houston looked like dog shit. If not for Josh Allen the Bills would’ve won.
