rookie QB on the road? check.
rookie QB in front of his family in his hometown? check. behind a shitty offensive line? check. Chiefs d-line has been feasting? check. ball hawking turnover machine secondary at home? check. We should win this game, and handily. Injuries could always derail it, but there's no way the Chiefs are not a huge mismatch for Denver. |

That path is wide open for us to win out. I still think 12-4 gets the us the 2 seed.
Patriots have another loss in them somewhere. They haven’t had their WTF loss yet. Every loss of theirs has been to a better team. They’ll drop one that they shouldn’t. |
Looks like there could be snow for the game, that would be fun.
|
Hey Drew, welcome home. Good to see you. Hey, have you met Frank and Chris?
Wayill....you're about to. You'll be seeing a lot of them on Sunday. |

But don't even try to act like this is a good matchup for you. Does that mean we automatically win? No, because sometimes shit happens. But don't act like you're confident if you're being reasonable. |

I hope we blow them out of the water. Donk fans haven’t been face ****ed by mediocrity near long enough. Bring Lock back to reality on Sunday and show that Elway is still a ****ing worthless GM who can’t draft a QB. They need to live this shitty reality for at least 15-20 years before I’ll be satisfied.
|
The Chiefs were pressuring Brady with blitzes all night. Tom is 42 years old and has seen everything from every type of defense. And we ****ed him up.
It would be a tall task for a rookie to read all the well timed blitzes that Tom Brady could not. |
Donk fans, question for you:

The best thing about the Donkeys is they only whine about a tenth as much as the Patsies.

Trap game. We better be ready because Drew Lock can flat out sling it.

I've watched the highlights, and I don't see anything that should terrify the league. I'm sure he'll be a solid QB, and much better than anything they've had in 5 years, but that's all I'm prepared to say. He had a nice deep ball or two, and one nice intermediate throw. Aside from that, it was a lot of dump-offs to wide open receivers and YAC. The defense was terrible. He was just taking what they were giving and had no pressure in his face. That will change next week. Know what else will change? He won't be playing indoors on turf. |

Snow expected for Sunday! This should be fun
|
The Drew Lock hype is getting insane. He will crash back to earth this weekend when the Chiefs sweep the Cheating Donks again.
Lock is the next Leaf- Arrowhead will break him. |

You've got to be a Missouri homer. |

Be overamped and overthrow some passes resulting in some picks? Yes. |
It's very fitting that Drew Locks first L as a professional quarterback will come in KC
Since he is from Lees Summit and all |
He managed to beat the Texans D.
A defense that is ranked 27th or worse in 3rd downs, red-zone scoring, passing defense, INTs, QB pressures, and sacks. And that defense managed to sack Lock how many times yesterday? They have the same OL they had in week 6 (or whenever it was), the same running game, but now no Sanders and probably no Fant (don't know what his issue is, but they carted him off the field, right?). Say good-night, Irene. It's going to be a rough night for DEN. Again. |
Home game against a shit team? Probably a Chiefs loss.

Not worried about the Donkeys. Our defense is for ****ing real and Lock is going to get fist ****ed. Spags isn't about to clown Brady then drop an egg against that dork Lock.
|
This team has the ability to stomp a mudhole in the Donks. But they can always Chief it up and make stupid mistakes. This team needs to get on a roll heading into the playoffs and play clean games without a bunch of mental errors.
|
Quote:
When we played DEN earlier this season we blitzed Flacco 44% of the time. I'm not saying Spags plans on blitzing Lock 44% of the time, but he's going to send 'em more than 30% of the time, I guarantee you. And our blitz is actually more efficient than it was in week 6. |
Whitlock picks the Donks to beat the Chiefs this weekend.

Lock is a stud. |

I figure Lock for 350 yards & 3 TD’s. |

Honestly, Whitlock doesn't seem very good at picking games when the Chiefs are in them. He is good at picking against his alma mater Ball State; I've made some decent $$$ going against BS over the last couple years. |
Early line has KC an -11.5 favorite.

Why the 11.5 spread? That's high for any NFL game.

Why not give us Trent and let Fouts cover his precious? At least he hates us both equally.

Thank god i'll be at the game and won't have to listen to Fouts.

Already sick of the hype. Houston plays Tennessee this week and clearly got caught looking past Denver. If nothing else, Lock got everybody's attention, so he won't sneak up on us. Also, the poor bastard's a life long Chiefs fan from Lee's Summit, and his first game at Arrowhead will be as a Bronco. He will be reviled by the same people he once called his own. I suspect that will play hell with his psyche. Plus, since this is a huge game for him, I expect he'll shit his pants, since that what he always did in huge games for Missouri. |
Quote:
So whatever the spread was for the first game (can't remember what it was, but I'm thinking probably about a TD), then add at least 4-6 points because Pat. |

Op from the link above:
"Choose your franchise centerpiece: Drew Lock, or Patrick Mahomes? 12-09-2019, 02:35 PM Okay, let’s pretend that we get a call from the league tomorrow. They say, essentially, “It’s in our best interest to help the proud, historic franchises with the consistent fan bases. So, we’re going to let you choose the QB to build around. You can keep what you have, or you can take any other QB in the division.” (This scenario is actually not that far-fetched, as I can’t imagine Mahomes will choose to stay in a place like Kansas City any longer than he has to, which means two more seasons.) Who do you choose? As I see it, there are actually some decent justifications for Mahomes. Yes, he’s a system QB. But if you have an offensive staff that is willing to tailor the offense to his strengths, that can be okay. Also, while he’s definitely showing himself to be fragile, you have to assume a smarter franchise would 1) invest so that he’s not behind a crappy offensive line; and B) avoid brain farts, like running a guy with a fragile body into the heart of one of the more vicious defenses in the league. Honestly, I don’t see any reason why, managed properly, he couldn’t have a nice, little 8-10 year career in this league, a la Joe Flacco (who, let’s not forget, won that one Super Bowl). On the other side, Lock does seem to have that almost magical quality so many of the greats have. His arm compares to Elway’s, when he came into the league. And while he doesn’t run quite as well as Lamar Jackson, he makes Mahomes look like Carson Palmer, towards the end of his career. You can plug him into any system, and have it work (you don’t have to dumb anything down, like they’ve done in KC). And he has a body that looks built to hold up in the NFL. Can you imagine a guy like Drew Lock’s numbers dropping off as severely as Mahomes, in his second year? Yeah, I can’t either. Throw in the fact that Lock is more than a year younger than Mahomes, and the needle pushes even more in his direction. So, do you go with the guy who had a nice second year in the league, despite not being able to really crack the lineup as a rookie? Or do you go with the guy who looks like he might be The Natural? Do you go with the guy who will probably have a nice career as an upper-level, second-tier QB in the league? Or do you go with the guy who has the physical talent to be the GOAT, but has one less season to have proven himself, at this point? Don’t get me wrong. I think that most league people would basically say, “Duh, you take Lock.” But I think it might be closer than we might assume. What do you think?" I've read it twice; it's still just about the dumbest take I've read about Pat. Which is saying something. |

Never mind, I found a story about it; he has a (probably) minor foot injury, and something wrong with his hip. DEN is optimistic at this point. Tests to follow. https://sports.yahoo.com/noah-fant-b...200345203.html |
Coming in from PA for game will be my first. My hotel is 10 miles from arrowhead what time should I leave to go to game?
|
I’ll be shocked if Drew Lock is prepared for the complexity Steve Spagnuolo is going to show him on Sunday.
He is physically very talented, but his college experience didn’t prepare him for handling the type of exotic blitzes and coverages the Chiefs have been succeeding with. He’s a tough player who can make some crazy plays because of his physical ability, but reading and diagnosing pre-snap was not a strength displayed in college. I’m sure the Broncos are doing a good job with him, but that’s a lot to ask of him in six months. |
