He was intended to be a problem child. It was a well executed character, both in terms of writing and acting, and the only reason to watch any of those stupid movies. I can't say the same for Anakin at any point, except in the Clone Wars cartoon. |

VII was basically a rehashing of the original movie with a whiny child as the bad guy, a girl as Luke, and Han Solo as Kenobi. There is NO reason to it. And sadly it's the best of the three. |

The Return of Fennec Shand in Star Wars: The Bad Batch She’ll be reprising the role of the elite assassin in the upcoming animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, which follows a special team of clone troopers at the dawn of the Galactic Empire. “Do you know how long I’ve had to keep silent about Fennec coming back?” she asks with a joyful laugh. “This is the first time I’ve been able to talk about it!” After the sizzle reel for the upcoming Star Wars animation project was revealed last week, Wen still had to stay mum for a few more days, Filoni told her. Her response? “Dave, if you wanted to keep it a secret you shouldn’t have put me in the trailer!” she laughs. “Everybody is saying they just want the confirmation. So, yes, it is Fennec! It’s a younger Fennec and she is voiced by me and I’m thrilled and beyond happy that Dave wanted to create more of a backstory for her.” |
I've watched the movies, mandalorian so far, If I wanted to watch more I know there is the clone wars and rebels. Should I watch both? Which order?

Or if you wanted to do it sequentially, it would be TPM, Attack of the Clones, Seasons 1-6 of The Clone Wars series, Revenge of the Sith, Season 7 of The Clone Wars, Solo, then Rebels. The final episode of Rebels is happening almost simultaneously with Rogue One. |
It's officially Official!
From starwars.com ------------ https://www.starwars.com/news/the-book-of-boba-fett THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT, A NEW SERIES, COMING DECEMBER 2021 ON DISNEY+. THE LEGEND WILL RETURN NEXT YEAR. Boba Fett is back. And his story is just beginning. As teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the season finale of The Mandalorian, the legendary bounty hunter’s journey will continue in The Book of Boba Fett. Jon Favreau, executive producer of The Mandalorian, confirmed today on Good Morning America that the new series is currently in production and will arrive December 2021, only on Disney+. The Book of Boba Fett will be set within the timeline of The Mandalorian and star Temuera Morrison as the titular bounty hunter, along with Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. Robert Rodriguez — who directed Chapter 14 of The Mandalorian, a thrilling installment that reintroduced Boba Fett to the Star Wars galaxy — joins Favreau and Dave Filoni as executive producer. Boba Fett made his big-screen debut in 1980’s Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, becoming an instant fan favorite thanks to his visually arresting armor and cool demeanor. Jeremy Bulloch, the original actor inside the armor, passed away last week — but his legacy, including all he brought to Boba Fett, goes on. The Book of Boba Fett will carry that legacy forward. Season 3 of The Mandalorian will go into production next year. |
I want a goddamn flashback showing the escape from the Sarlacc.

Rumor: a LUKE SKYWALKER series has entered active development at Disney!!!

The book of boba fett is a 4-part miniseries.
So we're getting a 4-hour boba fett movie, basically. Most likely telling the tale of his escape from the Sarlacc. IN |

As we saw in the trailer, this series will be about Boba Fett and Fennec Shand taking over Jabba's criminal underworld activities and how it ties into the overall narrative that F&F appear to be creating. |

Supposedly, he wants the role of Luke Skywalker should it come available and Mark Hamill has publicly supported him as well, so if Lucasfilm does move forward with a Luke Skywalker series or even more cameos, it would be a shock if Stan wasn't involved. |

We NEED to have that story told, though. |

The loss of his armor along with all of the scars on his face should make for a great flashback sequence. Maybe we'll even see Cobb Vanth again because there's no such thing as too much Timothy Olyphant. |
I want to see Boba hacking, slashing and burning his way out of that pit, even if it is just three minutes long.
And hell yes to more Timothy Olyphant. |
Take this with a subjective grain of salt

I think this is good news because Loki looks amazing:
https://deadline.com/2021/01/loki-mi...ey-1234665495/ ‘Loki’ Exec Producer Michael Waldron Tapped To Write Kevin Feige’s ‘Star Wars’ Movie As Part Of New Deal With Disney EXCLUSIVE: After penning Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and serving as head writer and exec producer on the upcoming Disney Plus series Loki, Michael Waldron is looking to stay in business with Walt Disney Studios in a big way. Sources tell Deadline Waldron has been set to write a new Star Wars feature film that Kevin Feige, President, Marvel Studios and Chief Creative Officer, Marvel, will develop and produce for Lucasfilm and Disney. This just one part of the recent deal Waldron signed with the studios that will keep him in business with Disney for some time. Disney declined to comment. Besides writing this new Star Wars film, the deal is also expected to bring back Waldron in some capacity for season 2 of Loki. Not only is the deal rarity at the studios, it clearly shows how much faith Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm has in Waldron going forward and should surely open doors for years to come and many more high-profile properties. This the first piece of news about Feige’s Star Wars film since the project was first rumored in the fall of 2019. Lucasfilm recently announced several films at Disney’s Investor Day, including Rogue Squadron with Patty Jenkins, however this was not one of them. The project was first rumored following the success of Avengers: Endgame and before the launch Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, the final installment in the most trilogy of the franchise. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy was looking to start a new era of Star Wars films and given how much love Feige had for the franchise and how masterfully he navigated the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the past decade, felt the perfect fit to spearhead a new feature on the beloved IP. Since Waldron has just been brought on, there is no idea when this film get into production or make it in front of audiences, but Waldron attachment adds momentum to the film’s development. As for Waldron, he is an Emmy award-winning writer, creating and serving as head writer and executive producer for Marvel and Disney+’s upcoming Loki series, and is currently writing Marvel’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness for Sam Raimi. He created and is executive producing Starz’ upcoming wrestling drama Heels. He began his career on Adult Swim’s Rick And Morty where he won an Emmy for his work as a writer and producer on Season 4. He is repped by CAA and LBI Entertainment. |
If Feige is in, I'm in. Until he gives me a reason not to be.

Alan Tudyk Confirms That The Rogue One' Disney+ Series won't include K-2SO in Season 1 but will appear in subsequent seasons. Still, he’s resolute that he will be on Andor at some point and that series creator (and Rogue One co-writer) Tony Gilroy has a plan for his character in mind, which is pretty exciting. “I'm going to be in the show. It's just that the story that Tony [Gilroy] is telling doesn't involve K-2SO until later on... I can't be too specific, but I can definitely say that I'm not going to be in the first season.” So there you have it: K-2SO will return but not yet. What’s also interesting about Tudyk’s comments is that it seems to confirm that Andor will be an ongoing series, like The Mandalorian and not a “limited series” like the upcoming, highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi (which is set to return Ewan McGregor to the titular role). Kennedy referred to Andor as merely a “series” in December, leaving room open for continued speculation. Also, the fact that Gilroy will also seemingly be steering the ship beyond Season 1 is pretty exciting (he was supposed to direct a portion of the inaugural season but declined due to travel restrictions related to COVID-19). By all accounts it was Gilroy that helped steer Rogue One towards success during its particularly fraught post-production process. |
I just finished Rebels and man what a great show. Esp the final season ep jedi night and finale. Really excited to see what filoni does with the characters in the future in live action.

The internet is reporting that Lucasfilm has found its Live Action Ezra Bridger in actor Mena Massoud, who played Aladdin in the Live Action version of the film.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload...ature=youtu.be https://www.theforce.net/story/front...ies_188364.asp https://www.cbr.com/star-wars-mena-m...-ezra-bridger/ REPORT: Star Wars Casts Aladdin's Mena Massoud as Live-Action Ezra Bridger Mena Massoud, best known for 2019's Aladdin, has reportedly been cast in the role of Ezra Bridger for the Star Wars character's live-action debut. Disney+ may have found its Ezra Bridger for multiple live-action Star Wars shows on its roster, including Ahsoka. Mena Massoud, best known for 2019's Aladdin, is reportedly the top choice for the character. Massoud has not yet entered into an official agreement with Disney, and the studio has not made an announcement on the casting; however, he has been in talks for the role, according to the Kessel Run Transmissions YouTube channel. Ezra Bridger comes from Star Wars Rebels, which one of the franchise's canon animated series set in the timeline before A New Hope. During that series, Ezra is in training to become a Jedi. If Massoud assumes the role, it will mark the first time that the character has appeared in live action, much like Rosario Dawson's portrayal of Ahsoka Tano. Following the major success of The Mandalorian as the first Star Wars TV series on Disney+, several other live-action shows have been announced and will likely involve many crossovers, so Massoud's Ezra could be appearing in several different series. He may even be reunited with his Aladdin co-star Naomi Scott, who has been rumored for a role in the upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi, starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. In addition to his starring role in Aladdin, Massoud is known for the TV series Reprisal and Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan. Directed by Guy Ritchie, Aladdin stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Will Smith as Genie, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan of Agrabah, Billy Magnussen Prince Anders, and Frank Welker and Alan Tudyk as the voices of Abu and Iago, respectively. Aladdin is available now on digital and Blu-ray. Produced by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, Ahsoka Tano stars Rosario Dawson and will stream on Disney+. The series does not yet have a release date. |

But since Lando is still in "Development", it's probably either Obi Wan or Andor. |

I'm hoping this report is true for a number of reasons but mainly because I cannot wait to see a Live Action continuation of Star Wars Rebels. :D |
That's what the Ahsoka series reportedly is. They canned the animated sequel last winter and began producing her live action series as the direct sequel. If that announcement is legit, expect a Sabine casting before long.

Looks promising.

Also holy ****, the Bad Batch literally looks like Star Wars A-Team

The Bad Batch premieres tomorrow, May 4th, with another episode airing on Friday, its normal release day.
The series will have "at least" 16 episodes and they're hoping it'll do well enough for a Season 2. |
Today is Star Wars day? Didn't know there was such a thing.

I enjoyed the first episode. Feels kind of like their setting up for a Star Wars version of the A-Team. Interesting to see the beginning of Kanan's origin story.
|
The visuals just continue to impress and the show was much better and darker than expected.
Seeing so many known characters in the first episode was a bit surprising and now, I won’t be surprised if Vader shows up in the series, which would be awesome. |
Yeah, the Caleb intro was pretty cool. Love how they're tying it all together.
Definite Clone Wars / Rebels vibe. Which is a good thing. |
It was weird for me to hear the adult Kanan Jarrus/deep voice of Freddie Prinze Jr coming out of preteen Caleb Dume's mouth.
The episode was cool. I'm curious where Omega goes, and if her storyline will grow for several seasons in a similar fashion to how Ahsoka was handled. Without looking for spoilers I am intrigued to see whose DNA she was cloned from. I really hope it is not Palpatine... |
So, I watched the first 30 mins with my son, never had watched the Clone Wars, and seeing this play out from their perspective was immensely enjoyable. Dare I say this might be the best "Star Wars" thing I have seen since Episode 7.

Have you missed Star Wars: Rebels, Season 7 of The Clone Wars, Rogue One and two seasons of The Mandalorian? All of those titles, including The Bad Batch premiere, are far better than Episode 7. |

The season finale of Mandalorian Season 2 could be argued to being the best thing Star Wars has ever done. |

Didn't love Rogue One (it was fine but forgettable for me). Mandalorian is good, but it has traversed far too much in the "Mando shows up to some random planet, runs into someone they know, they get out of a jam, and you get 3 mins of plot advancement at the end" trope for me to place it into my upper tier. I'm just a sucker for the "what was happening to these people during X event" kind of stories. Always entertaining when well done. |

Not only does the Clone Wars series completely kick ass, we see Anakin and Obi Wan's brotherly type of relationship up close and personal, as well as a deep dive into the Clone Wars, the clones themselves and the return of Darth Maul, while learning a bit more about The Force itself. We also get to know Anakin's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, and her role in the entire saga. I can't imagine watching Episode 5 of The Mandalorian Season 2 and not understanding why Ahsoka's presence was so incredible and such an integral part of the overall Star Wars story. Her upcoming series will be very important to the overall story and she's a fan favorite (and personally one of my All Time favorite SW characters). Star Wars Rebels is also integral to the overall story, as characters from The Clone Wars series make appearances, followed by appearances in Rogue One. The first season is a little more "kid friendly" than the subsequent three seasons but it definitely gets much darker in Season 2, which carries forward into the fourth season and its two-part finale (which is also integral to The Mandalorian). Both animated series are Canon and IMO, required viewing, especially with "Andor", the Rogue One Prequel series set to release in 2022 along with the Ahsoka series. It won't be the least bit surprising when the Obi Wan series ties back into all of these other properties as well because finally, Star Wars is an interconnected universe and to understand what's fully going on, you'll need to see both animated series (and from the looks of it and they way they're tying in Omega to the cloners in The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch is going to be integral, too). |

Her firing was akin to Mel Gibson's disappearance in Hollywood after making Anti-Semitic remarks caught on tape. Studio heads and talent agents tolerate all kinds of nonsense, from drugs to alcohol to property destruction and sexual harassments to people just being miserable assholes. But the one thing you cannot do in Hollywood is equate anything to the Holocaust or the suffering of Jewish people. Bob Iger is Jewish, as is Jeremy Zimmer. They're not going to tolerate that for one second, which is why she was ultimately fired. I can understand why people outside of Hollywood can't wrap their heads around that concept but everyone in town with half a brain knows better than to insult the Jewish community in any way, shape or form without serious repercussions to their career. It's the highest form of disrespect in this business and flat out dumb to even broach that line. ------ That said, I'm kind of happy this is no longer in development. The Mandalorian is at a crossroads in its storytelling and no one knows what The Book of Boba Fett holds. We just saw Luke in The Mando, the Rogue One Prequel and Obi Wan will launch in 2022 with new movies by Kevin Feige, Taika Waititti and Patty Jenkins, not to mention more series in development (Ahsoka, The High Republic and so on). I don't want Star Wars just for the sake of Star Wars. It's already a bit too watered down as is, IMO. |
