I wish it were Preston Smith
It will probably be Breeland or Norman though |
So i believe we will be getting a 2 and a 4 as well as a CB, but i can see Pryor being traded as well. So exciting! I hope we robbed them.
|
Lol it's a swap for Kirk Cousins and we gave him an extension. Could you imagine?!

Washington was the perfect trade partner. They knew they were going to lose out on Cousins. They needed to act and did. ****ing awesome

Damn, we must have got a HAUL to accept it this fast. |
Chiefs agree to trade Alex Smith to Washington

Washington has the 44th pick in the 2nd round. |

Just like he deserves to eat crow, so does everyone else who said he was going to the Browns. |

I'd expect Norman. Salary cap dump.
|
Happy day. Feels like we won the super bowl.
|
This makes me sad. I really can't put my finger on why I feel this way, but I am. Maybe it is because he has been with the Chiefs for 5 years or maybe because he just is a great person. I'm sure he will be great in Washington.
|
YASSSSS
|
While i appreciate that Smith led us out of Chiefs hell, I'm ready for not the same ole Chiefs.
Woohoo! |
This is almost like the CHIEFS winning a home playoff game!! AWESOME!

Holy shit what?
 From one game manager to another, I am just simply stupefied... really did NOT see this coming FULLY expected it to be Arizona, Cleveland or Jacksonville looking to move up... not a team like DC looking to move laterally Holy shit wowzers Tell me about the picks involved or die |

Give me a 2nd, Breeland and Kerrigan and I’d be ****ing ecstatic.

If it's Kerrigan that would be GREAT.

They play in LA now. |
Great news! Now we just need to know what the compensation is.

Just speculating here, but I'm guessing the Skins knew that Cousins was long gone and didn't want to draft any of these rookies. Thus they may have been willing to give a lot up to lock in a QB.
|
QB Alex Smith and Washington now have reached an agreement on a new four-year contract extension, per sources. Smith, who had one year left on his contact, tied to Washington for next five seasons. Smith gets long-term deal from Washington that Cousins could not.
|
Now we know why Gruden was sucking Alex's dick more than Tigger does during the Wild Card game. Little brother wanted him.

Smith got a 4-year deal. This bodes well for our compensation.

That 4-year deal means he was worth more in the trade. Good.

He went to a below average team in a big market that will hound him like crazy. But hey, he's not our problem anymore. I wish him the best - can't say bad things about the guy now that he's not on our team. |

Washington, notorious for overspending for free agents. This is good news.

Free at last, free at last. Thanks the gods, we're free at last.
Alex, GTFO. Redskins, hahahha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Great deal for everyone. Alex gets to go to a playoff contender (kinda), we get to send Alex, Tiger, and everyone else over to extremeskins, the Mahomes era begins.
I wish Alex well, he played pretty well for us and helped the team back to respectability. He always carried himself the right way and was a good leader and teammate by all accounts, a stand up guy and a professional. Wish he would have been able to take us to the promised land, but I am glad he’s landing somewhere that he still may have a shot. |
