Do we have to? I'm mean lets talk about kpass and mahomes and kelce and tyreek and justin houston!
|
The only thing keeping this game from being a gimmie is their defense. It's good. And guess who's manning the ship? Dick LeBeau. You know, the guy that won two superbowls with the Steelers because of his zone blitz schemes, yeah that LeBeau.
Alex is 1-3 in his career against LeBeau led defenses. |
Two outcomes that I see:
A. Chiefs roll 30-13ish. B. Titans win an ugly "because Chuefs" game 19-15. |

Weaknesses: The Tits have no real deep threat on offense, no ability to consistently defend the pass on any level, and a passable at best QB.
KC is streaky and inconsistent (winning record vs. winning teams and losing record vs. teams with a losing record), does not win when tallying less than 90 rushing yards, and have pass catchers that tend to drop passes at key moments. Strengths: The titans are very good at running the ball. Most experienced coaching staff in the league. Strong front 7. Overachievers. KC seems to always make 2 big (40 or more yards) plays a game. Dynamic offense. Best rusher in the NFL. QB has highest QB rating in the NFL. TE is 3rd most productive TE in NFL. Playing at home. |

Scary! Lethal! Dangerous! Surfer Boy is looking to hang 10 on our defense!

Mariota is anxious to get back to the North Shore and do some surfing. Chiefs win 34-10.

Holy intercepted screen pass. I just noticed that Matt Cassel is still with the Titans.

Seems you guys pretty confident the chiefs smack the titans. You're probably right.
The titans run game is nothing like last year. |
Titans are terrible.

Mariota has thrown more INTs than TDs.

Playcalling has been an issue as well. The chiefs offense is what the titans offense should look like. Mularkey is more stubborn than i was |

Titans fans have been waiting all season for this team to put it all together and play a complete game. Could this be the week? |
Only reason I'm optimistic is we slapped around a similar Texans team in 2016.

Mariota ran around on the jags. Delaney walker and Henry could be trouble too.

The Chiefs have this valuable opportunity to pull what the Giants did in 2011. Had mid-season struggles yet somehow turned around their defense to topple a bunch of giants in the playoffs down the stretch(Packers/Niners/Patriots).
|
It's a win-win situation for the Chiefs.
Win: move on in the playoffs. Loss: guarantees AS is traded. I always root for the Chiefs to win but it's nice to know that unlike last year after a loss in the playoffs, I know the next season will be a blast. |

Seriously? |
33-17 Chiefs

Growing more nervous about this game by the day... if Tennessee can contain our run game, and they have a better chance than many teams, it's gonna be an ugly game. I don't think TEN scores more than 19, though.

We're all hoping that this team is getting hot at the right time. Thanks for the stats.

Its do or die time for Alex Smith. Hopefully he comes with the attitude he was playing with that had him in the MVP discussion.

I think we'll struggle to run the ball. So we'll put the ball in Alex's hands and tell him to go win a football game. He either does or doesn't. |
Titans preseason odds to win the Superbowl were 40:1.
Titans odds to win the Superbowl now that they're in the playoffs is 100:1. Has absolutely no bearing on anything but its ****ing hilarious. |

The Titans are going to muddy this one up and try and deny our offense the field by dominating TOP. Get ready.

Do we owe them or own them?

They aren't an efficient offense, so good luck controlling the ball if they can't convert 3rd downs or hang on to the football.

We get that QB in the playoffs without the defense and running game balling out, we're done. |
Blew those teams out... The one pass was a bomb over their elite corner ROFL Had multiple scores dropped against the Faid too..
|
So it's going to be a boring game?
I've seen maybe 10 quarters out of the Titans this year and they are terribly tough to watch. |
Titans are a scrappy team that have given Alex Smith and the Chiefs O some problems in recent yrs.
Their D for the most part is pretty solid. I'm not calling this a win. Titans could very well beat KC in Arrowhead (again). |
4 games...irrelevant sample size. Welp...
|
Quote:
How about I point to Alex's four best games this year and label it an irrelevant sample size? That's half his TDs. |
16 game season...Let's compare Mariota

Chiefs were +76 by the way. Never lost a game by more than 11 and won several games by a decent margin. |
Clay pimping the opposition, what a shock.
