I sure hope he does before he Keith Whitey's himself. I have tickets for a pending g show, but I'm fine returning them if that guy will get himself fixed up. I've seen them enough times for enough years that it was pretty obvious when it started heading south. I hope the man gets himself healed so the music they make can keep rolling. I had tickets cancelled.

Some see this as bad news. If you don't want to see EF dead, this is the best thing. That guy has some Deimos he needs to deal with or there won't be a happy ending. I hope he finds his happy place and when that happens I hope they go back to making music.

In the mean time I'll listen to the reruns, and Childers and find some new bands to appreciate as well.

Just rumors on the TT Reddit page that all the guys have a date in early December that might suggest at a reunion. Plus, Feller's wife has been dropping hints on Instagram.

Me and my wife have been huge fans of these guys for a long time, always hold out hope they get back together, but...

We have a cabin around the area these guys are all from and most of the locals and a few other folks plugged into the red dirt scene have all but said they are done, like never again done. Still always hear from some random folk that they are gonna get back together. I hope so, this was a legendary band on the making hope they get their shit together!

The band is officially back!

We picked up tickets to the Bonner Springs show. It holds 18k, outdoors. YouTube videos of the Foo Fighters show make it look like a decent venue. Hopefully drink lines aren’t crazy.

I was kind of shocked how different they looked, but it occurred to me it's been a decade since I went to their concert if I'm remembering correctly.

I have the same aversion to the Roland drum machine in every hip-hop song. Every song, every commercial sounds like a bar fight between cicadas and crickets.

The band is tight. Evan doesn't tell stories or spend minutes naming the band, they just play music. I love it. I don't need backstory.

My wife and I saw them last august in Chicago at the Windy City Smokeout.

They put on a good show.

I tried to listen to it tonight while burning CRP in a ranger. I’m going to have to give it another try because it didn’t hit for me.

Im pretty proud of the lead singer guy and the whole band for rallying behind him. Felker's addiction should have been the end of these guys, but he beat it and they're back to making great music.

I thought it was comprehensively better than cat in the rain.

To me, it’s somewhat of a return to their classic style, which to me cat in the rain wasn’t.

To be fair, I was in a loud ranger, bouncing around fields and not the best acoustics. It just didn’t jump out at me like the first songs used to….no different than the early Childers stuff vs now….oe early Zach Bryan vs the corporate crap he started making.


I used to watch turnpike with 50 people 2 miles from my house. I’ve talked to them for 3-4hrs total in my life….RC caught a bass in my pond. I don’t claim to know them…but I’m a long time fan. Cat in the rain didn’t really hit for me…..and I’m sure hoping this one does. Sometimes it just takes 2 or 3 listens to get it.

I listened to it on Spotify. Of all the songs I liked the last one best. All the others are fine just kinda sound the same the last is a little more upbeat.


I am going to have to hear a little more before I pass judgment.
