Great.
Dorsey built this team. Reid holds it back. We're ****ed |

Dorsey and Reid were such a dynamic pair. They were going to do great things here. Instead it's just going to be Reid trying to do WAY too much on his own and ****ing imploding just like he did in Philly. God. Dammit. How can a franchise be so good at setting optimism on fire? |
Surely there's some shit going on behind the scenes with this,

This is nuts, how do we finally build a winning culture and fire the guy who built it?
|
Clark is a cheap mother****er. That's all that this boils down to.
|
Eh. Veach is a longtime Philly guy, right?
Feels like Reid is looking for a yes man. This feels like it would be a Pioli style reshuffling. |
So we're basically like the minor leagues of football? If a spot opens up in a perennial winner like GB - you take it?

****ing Clark you POS. If there is any choice you keep Dorsey and fire Reid.
|
I can't imagine it had anything to do with Reid and Dorsey's relationship the way they talk about each other.
Weird |
what the ****
|
The one thing Dorsey was great at was finding depth and starters in the later rounds of the draft
|
|
Dorsey was literally the best thing about this organization IMO. I think Reid is overrated but Dorsey I thought was as good as it gets.
This really hurts. If we didn't have Mahomes I would be depressed now. |
ChUNT made him an offer he can't refuse.

You know how some of you guys have called me a homer over the last few years?
Well the reason I was is ****ig gone. Unless Mahomes develops into an elite QB I have absolutely no faith in this organization going forward. |
Nobody will ever know the truth. This is shitty.

We really should just re-name Kansas City 'Effingtown' at this point. Because that F'ing town will be the death of me. Or at least it's football team... |

Dorsey is a little way too overrated on this board.

What this does is allow the Chiefs to put a new GM in place NOW, so that they're ready for the 2018 draft, instead of being without a GM when the league year starts in 2018. |
this is probably his punishment for drafting a QB.
lol in Mommy Dearest 'no wire hangers fashion' from CLark "NO 1ST ROUND QBS"! |
The Chiefs would be having a great offseason if they went 2-14 last year.

The hierarchy has always been Hunt - Reid - Dorsey. Not surprising Dorsey would want to go somewhere where he was essentially top dog and wouldn't even have to deal with an owner.

Anyone know of any external available GMs

I wonder if Reid didn't like the draft? It just seems odd to let Dorsey go right now.

Reid just got extended, Dorsey got the ax and the rumors are that Reid's former scout is going to be the new GM. 'Behind the scenes' my ass. It's as behind the scenes as Manziel's drinking problem. This was a power play by a guy that should goddamn well know better. He just cut his 'best friend of 20 years' off right at the goddamn knees. **** you, fat man. You have 3 years to win a title. You get the same ****ing ultimatum I gave Pioli when he came in here and ****ed around with Haley, Jackson and Cassel - if you're so goddamn smart that you can do things that make no since whatsoever at face value, you'd better damn well prove it and win. NOW. This pisses me off immensely. How in the name of **** can this be an acceptable decision? |
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Cochise again.
|
You have to wonder if the Maclin move led to this. Andy called Maclin right afterwards too. I don't think Andy was happy about any of that situation even though it had to be done.
You have to hope that Brett Veach has learned from john Dorsey and Chris Ballard the last 4 years. Goddamn this hurts |

It's brilliant to fire a guy who's done the best at drafting that this team has seen in 30 years and also a guy who is really good at churning through cuts and finding contributing players.
Awesome GM for building depth so I fully expect that to vanish. No more Howards, Parkers or Mitchells. |

Per Evan Silva
A theory on why Dorsey might of been gone #Chiefs were in such bad cap condition that they were essentially forced to cut one of Andy Reid's favorite players. |
