So a Reid puppet.

Dorsey and Reid were such a dynamic pair. They were going to do great things here.

Instead it's just going to be Reid trying to do WAY too much on his own and ****ing imploding just like he did in Philly.

God. Dammit.

How can a franchise be so good at setting optimism on fire?

This is nuts, how do we finally build a winning culture and fire the guy who built it?

Clark is a cheap mother****er. That's all that this boils down to.

Chiefspants 06-22-2017 02:26 PM

Eh. Veach is a longtime Philly guy, right?

Feels like Reid is looking for a yes man. This feels like it would be a Pioli style reshuffling.

Veach was interviewed by the Bills and Lesean McCoy even wanted Veach as the new gm for the Bills. Obviously players like him.

****ing Clark you POS. If there is any choice you keep Dorsey and fire Reid.

I can't imagine it had anything to do with Reid and Dorsey's relationship the way they talk about each other.

Dorsey was literally the best thing about this organization IMO. I think Reid is overrated but Dorsey I thought was as good as it gets.

This really hurts.

What this does is allow the Chiefs to put a new GM in place NOW, so that they're ready for the 2018 draft, instead of being without a GM when the league year starts in 2018.

Dayze 06-22-2017 02:30 PM

RunKC 06-22-2017 02:33 PM

You have to wonder if the Maclin move led to this. Andy called Maclin right afterwards too. I don't think Andy was happy about any of that situation even though it had to be done.

You have to hope that Brett Veach has learned from john Dorsey and Chris Ballard the last 4 years.

I also think a lot of people liked that he was the first GM we've had who really didn't play favorites. Some would say they did with Smith, but they even drafted his replacement this year. Dorsey was always looking to add talent, regardless of position.

Absolutely. Reid deserves a major amount of credit too, but I don't want one person in charge of both things - this rarely works in the NFL.

It's brilliant to fire a guy who's done the best at drafting that this team has seen in 30 years and also a guy who is really good at churning through cuts and finding contributing players.

Awesome GM for building depth so I fully expect that to vanish. No more Howards, Parkers or Mitchells.
