well...this could be the inning to seal the deal....

petegz28 05-02-2016 07:46 PM

1 of 2 things is going to happen this inning..

1. The Nats are going to add to their lead and lock it up

Or

2. Eddie is gonna pitch out of this, keep them scoreless and light the fire for the comeback

2. Just got a DP. We'll see if he gets out of it

Dartgod 05-02-2016 07:48 PM

That helps. Just need to get one more.

Royals offense continues to suck

We lose 2-0.

baitism 05-02-2016 07:48 PM

I know they are professionals, but I expected this team to struggle in the first couple months before the WS hangover works itself out.

Man, Esky has tagged a couple of balls tonight with nothing to show for it.

ChiefsCountry 05-02-2016 07:59 PM

Esky has let two rip tonight that were pretty good swings.

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:03 PM

Well ****...13-12 is in our future I do believe

We can't move runners ....keep hitting into bad luck except for when Cain ran us out of a good scoring chance

Dartgod 05-02-2016 08:04 PM

Great throw and tag.

There is something not quite right with him.

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:12 PM

WTF is with this team? Losing track of outs, making dumb decisions on the base paths....****ing up routine plays and routine DP's....walking a ton of people ...

Cain may have not only cost us runs he may have taken an inning of pitching away from Eddie....

Eddie was at 85 pitches when out 3 should have been recorded...

noa 05-02-2016 08:13 PM

Nice K by Volquez there, love how he gathered composure first, and I'm glad we didn't pay for Cain's boner.

He's been crappy all season for the most part. Moose and Perez are about the only guys that have been consistent this season. Everyone else has had some bad lapses be it Hosmer forgetting how many outs there were multiple times to K-Mo sucking with RISP to Omar\Esky not turning routine DP's to Alice being a strikeout machine....

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:17 PM

I'd almost pull Cain for the night and put Dyson in...something just ain't right with him

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:19 PM

come on, Alex....

RealSNR 05-02-2016 08:22 PM

Please get a run this inning

blake1771 05-02-2016 08:23 PM

Alex is lost at the plate.

ChiTown 05-02-2016 08:25 PM

Damn, that hurts.

Good news is that this should be Gonzalez's last inning.

This is still a ball game

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:26 PM

If the object of the game was to get as many runners on as you can without actually scoring we would be undefeated I think

ChiefsCountry 05-02-2016 08:26 PM

We have had some good swings tonight. Sucks its a cold 50 degree night. Normal 70 degree night and we have a couple dingers.

Three7s 05-02-2016 08:28 PM

I wonder where we stand in strikeouts this year. Can't be good from what I've seen.

#13 in AL

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:32 PM

Our bats have totally ****ed off some great pitching over the last 4 games...

Medlen\Pen allow 1 hit on Friday and we lose 1-0

Tonight Eddie had the 2-run 1st inning but has sat ****ers down since and here we are in the 7th still losing 2-0

Dartgod 05-02-2016 08:33 PM

Great outing for Eddie other than the first inning.

ChiTown 05-02-2016 08:33 PM

Really, a hell of a nice game for Eddi. Solid 7 innings of work. Too bad our bats have AIDS.

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:33 PM

all in all a great game for Eddie..he does't deserve a loss..this offense needs to quit trying to hit 5-run HR's and just go do what they do best

To be fair, they probably would have had one too.

Great Expectations 05-02-2016 08:36 PM

Our bats have been awful all year long.

ChiTown 05-02-2016 08:38 PM

I'm concerned. I know our 2014 offense was bad, but I can't remember it being THIS bad.

It was definitely this bad. Hos and Moose were pretty much albatross' during the season and Butler clogged up our DH role for the whole year. Nori was horrendous until September and Infante was Infante for the entire season. People forget that it was actually fantastic starting pitching that carried us through the year.

With Ned leaving out Volquez for an inning too long, this certainly feels like a bizarro 13-14 game.

lewdog 05-02-2016 08:45 PM

Rested pen and we still trot out Eddie?

There was a time when Ned openly talked about wanting to give his starters opportunities to pick up that "win"

I still love him tho.

Good pull here. I am ok with it all now.

Eddie pitched great and our pop gun POS offense gonna leave him with a loss

Well, he can't get the win now, but he sure as hell doesn't deserve the loss. Our bats need to be getting hot soon. Real soon.

Yep. Same. I pretty much am on the "I'm good with whatever Ned decides" bandwagon at this point. He's earned it.

The only decision I had a problem with last year was putting Madson in the 8th inning of the ALCS. Otherwise Ned was fire.

Red Dawg 05-02-2016 08:48 PM

Get some damn hits! Crazy crqpolcrapola with hitting.

lewdog 05-02-2016 08:48 PM

I hope Eddie goes into the locker room and talks to none of the hitters. Not a ****ing word.

ChiTown 05-02-2016 08:50 PM

Duffy is throwing some serious heat lately.

Meh. We're due for some karmic retribution after the last postseason.

Dartgod 05-02-2016 08:51 PM

Beautiful!!

I like the Duffy we've been seeing lately.

ChiefsCountry 05-02-2016 08:51 PM

Duffman is starting to become a cyborg.

Chiefspants 05-02-2016 08:51 PM

Love seeing Danny trust his heat. Striking out Harper is no easy feat.

He has all the talent to be a borg out of the pen.

lewdog 05-02-2016 08:51 PM

Duffy has looked good lately. He's throwing some heat.

There were countless games the last two seasons where the offense was silent and the end results have been good. We have had plenty of baserunners but the hits just aren't coming in a timely fashion. We have seen plenty of tough luck outs recently that are runs if the ball is a few feet in a different direction.

tk13 05-02-2016 08:52 PM

Duffy's starting to figure it out I think. Wonder if they'll be tempted to try him in the rotation at all.

Cain and Gordo are due to bounce back. I think Esky will eventually have to be moved to the bottom of the lineup (protest errors be damned), but the offense certainly shouldn't be [i]this bad[/]

If our starting pitching continues to hold up, this is easily a 90 win team.

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:54 PM

Time for Cain to redeem some here

petegz28 05-02-2016 08:55 PM

you HAVE to move the runner...you cannot K here, Cain

Coach 05-02-2016 08:56 PM

Is it me, or has Cain been very tardy on his swings most of the time?
