I have a hard time putting in effort it takes to booze anymore. It's been a long time since I've hung with Bwana and his crazy (in a very good way crazy) family but I think he'd vouch I could go with best.

It just hurts too much and the recovery time is painfull. I'm glad we're all married at this point. Not sure I want another bachelor party no matter how fun they were.

Plus not worth jail time and all our lucky stars for somehow managing to avoid the pokey. Oh the stories I could tell. I'm glad camera phones were just coming of age.

About 3 years ago i completely lost interest in alcohol. My childhood played a big role in that though. So much to the point that, today, I can't stand alcoholics or heavy drinkers.

Watching someone act like a sloppy drunk is like nails on a chalkboard to me. It triggers an emotional response in me like no other.

I can't agree with this enough,however,I still love sitting at the bar with friends drinking,laughing etc.I will admit I've cut back some but overall I still take the ass kicking hangovers and look at it as if I want to play,I'm gonna pay.

It's "funny", of all the times I have driven after drinking it is the times where I am still ok that I get pulled over and harassed with field sobriety tests. The times where I absolutely should have gone to jail because I was a legitimate threat to myself and others, not a frickin' cop in sight.

Like you I am not proud of it. And with out a DUI on my record I am content to go to a local dive bar that is a five minute walk from home to keep it that way. I have spent my time being young and reckless. And while I may still have a moment every once in a great while (unintentionally), I refuse to go back to it being the standard.
