And it's not so much Mizzou leaving that has Laz wound up... it's the "Oh shit, what's KU gonna do." Understandable. He just can't resist a parting "F you", because well, he IS a Beaker. |

Congratulations, KU fan. You are officially Memphis the moment this happens. |

there is a very good chance that this move is the start of a complete change in the landscape of college sports. It could be ANY 2 Big 12 schools and i would be posting about it the same way. |

btw ... you can stay, the rest of your MUron friends can hit the bricks. :p |

It's going to be awkward if we bump into each other at Arrowhead. We'll have to make small talk, and she'll have to act strong in front of us. As soon as we leave, she'll swallow a bottle of Tylenol in a cry for attention, and her friends Iowa State and KSU will have to talk her off the ledge. |

Well this is all because of Texas and the douche Beebe....so let them sleep in the bed that they made.

It will be pretty weird though, if you're looking at possible conference matchups like Mizzou at Syracuse, or Nebraska vs. Rutgers.

Hey, it'll be fun to talk both Big 10 and Big 12 football here if this goes through.

I just have a hard time seeing this happen. Of course, all the rumor was the NCAA was going to 96 teams too...

Sorry dude. I know Mizzou gave you a promise ring, but there will be no wedding. |

Well ... if a MUron like yourself can count at all, that is maybe it would help if you had your momma/sister come inside the double-wide trailer and help you with the "cipherin" |

Like I mention in the other thread, it's crazy, but why not. Combine the B10 & B12 , grab 1 more teams, have 4 divisions, play twice within and rotate the other 3 divisions in games .
Call it the Midwest Athletic Conf 24 ( MAC-24 ) Basketball you will have 16 games, Football you will have 11 league games. The four divisions winners play off for your championship at the end of the season. It's crazy, but why not, it's getting crazy anyways. |

one year KSU gets screwed and the next it's MU etc,etc Big 12 doesn't have any Bowl structure because they know that texas will get a bowl no matter what and the rest of us can float or sink whenever. |

I said the same thing earlier in the thread. In the Big 12 Texas is the Yankees, and everything's set up for them to succeed. |

OK, I looked it up, Mizzou went to the Texas Bowl in 2008. I suppose the Gator Bowl is more desirable, but that wasn't anywhere near the level of the KU BCS screw job.

I assume those of us with Dish and a sports package (local etc) and over 120 channels will automatically get the big 10 network once mizzou is part of that? I assume it would be something thats part of dish once they figure out missouri is a big 10 state when that is finalized?
Edit:Thanks Laz and Saul Good it looks like i'll have it since i've already got a package that should include it for free. Just gotta wait for it to be final, sweet! |

It should be called "The Big Texas" League

And I'm not sure why bowl slotting really matters since that revenue is distributed equally.

Heh, is everyone ready for some serious conference musical chairs? Because if this actually goes down its going to be a feeding frenzy. For speculation purposes don't forget that the Pac-10 is only going to add pairs of school that are geographically close together. And they have to all approve adding a school so pretty much forget BYU. Also its not like the bowl slotting isn't screwed up in other conferences, ask Oregon State how they felt about going from playing Oregon for the Rose Bowl to playing in the Las Vegas Bowl.
