We get it....you don't like Mecca.
|
Are you selecting what you would do or what you think the team will do? Based on Hamas's pick I'm assuming it's what you would do.

It is what you would do. |
So, he has a little over 30 minutes to make his pick?

He was on the clock as of 1:22 PM PST yesterday......which would mean that he has another 4 hours to go.
|
Last pick was made at 3:22, YESTERDAY.
He has until 3:22 today to make the pick is the way I see it. |

That's right.....a little less than 4 hours. |

doomy, I have to agree with you. There is no reason for such a delay unless some funky stuff went down in mecca's personal life. If he passes on his first pick, it pains me to say it but OTW should reassign his teams. There are plenty of people who want in and would make their picks in a timely manner.
|
Oh JFC.....he's got 24 hours to make his pick. Is it kind of annoying? Yeah. But I see no reason to boot the guy out of the draft because of this.
|
mecca brings a lot to the table and if something is keeping him from posting or pming his pick obviously I'm fine with that. However, this draft just didn't sneak up on him, he knows what time it is.
|

If he's passed, and misses his next pick, then I'd consider it. |

the .... are for mecca |
Hey the rules state you have 24 hours to pick. Lets bitch after that passes.

Can I pick for Mecca?

This just can't happen consistently, or we are ****ed. |

I will say whoever is assigned the pick, better make the pick within an hour after being chosen to choose for Mecca. We can't afford another 24 hours going by.
|
I'm going to be out for 2-3 hours this afternoon. I'll be leaving in 30-45 minutes. I've sent a PM to OTW with the top 3 guys on my board for my pick so whoever's after me, be ready.
I'll do a write up of my selection when I get home this afternoon. |

That's fine....you guys can let him fall to San Francisco. :D

Somebody needs to select for the Redskins. Skipping the pick is futile at best.
|

Hamas taking Clausen really threw my board for a loop. I thought Spiller would be the no brainer pick at 6. There's a guy or two though that I won't pass on for him. Spiller is on my list of 3, but he's number 3. |
So to be clear...the Redskins make no selection if Mecca doesn't make the pick?

The pick should be an o-linemen but Mecca didn't even draft one for the Chiefs a few years ago when it was an obvious need.
|
How about we trade Mecca for another team and let somebody who's ready, take the Redskins?
|
Quote:
|
It's all a ploy by Mecca because he doesn't want to pay top 5 money for his pick.
|

I've gotta bounce, OTW has my picks. I'll catch you guys this afternoon.
|

It wouldn't be that hard to swap Mecca to a lower ranked team. |
This will be an excercise in futility, if the Redskins don't make a selection. What's the point? It's flawed from the beginning.
I've got too much going on, to dedicate time and effort, only to see this ****ed form the beginning. My two cents. |
Seeing as how this is the first time this has happened in the top 5 of the mock, I'm going to make an executive decision as commish.
Mecca has until 3:22 to make his pick. If he doesn't, I'm giving TBG ONE HOUR after Mecca's time expires to make the selection, since he'll be getting Mecca's teams in the event he totally flakes. If TBG doesn't make the pick by 4:22, then I'LL make the pick, and we'll move on. I've sent a PM to TBG notifying him of this arrangement. So now, we wait another hour and 10 minutes. |

Sounds good to me.

I work too hard on this (and I know you guys do too) to see it get ****ed 4 picks in. I also know that life can throw you a curve, and I have to give Mecca the benefit of the doubt for now. Hell, I woke up this AM to find out my modem/router was dead, and had to head out to buy a new one - had it not been for my iPhone, I would have had no contact with the board. Shit happens, we move on. |

Way to go, OTW.
|
The Skins need to take Bulaga.
|
Well, TheBadGuy is on the clock.
I sent him a PM, and he just posted 10 minutes ago. But now it looks like he's gone. He gets an hour, then I make the pick and we move on. |

The Washington Redskins select.....
Samuel Jacob Bradford, QB, Oaklahoma Sooners |
Sorry, I had planned to pick and then the wife came down ordering me to take a walk with her and the baby.

So who do you guys think the Redskins should take?
LaRon Landry is manning the SS, so Berry's not a consideration. Bradford is a bust waiting to happen. McCoy might be worth it just for value's sake, but that's tying up a shitload of money in DT next to Haynesworth. So... ? I think Bruce Campbell has to be the pick. He's a need, and he has the upside to actually justify the pick. Mays would be an intriguing pickup as well, but that's tying up too much money in a pair of safeties. |
This is an intriguing pick for the Chiefs.
Berry or McCoy. Berry or McCoy. Although I think Berry's too rare to pass on, Pioli would love a shot at McCoy if he can get a great deal for Dorsey. |
Quote:
There is no chance the Chiefs are going to move Dorsey to draft McCoy. None. There's a real chance that McCoy falls. If Claussen or Bradford go #1 to the Rams, Berry is going to be there at 5. |
It's gotta be Berry.
|
I love the CP mock. I can't wait to win the Draft this year.
|
Quote:
The interior push you would get from those two, along with the edge rush from Orakpo, would be devastating. |
And now we're rolling.
Here in the Chiefs War Room, Charlie Weis is still sulking in the corner with a case of RingDings over the Rams taking Jimmy Clausen 1st overall. With Clausen off the board, Romeo Crennel has distracted Scott Pioli with a serving of ziti just long enough to make sure he gets his man. No ****ing reaches this year, folks. With the 5th pick in the 2010 CP Mock draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select: Eric Berry, FS, Tennessee |
If mccoy falls, does that increase our trade prospects? Tons of teams need 34 ends/43 dts...

Flopnuts has sent me a list of players to choose from, and in a bit of a stunner the Seahawks select:
Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma |
Hot****! We're rolling now boys!
All good picks. All three teams ignored the LT position as will CLE. billay with his CP Mock debut is next. Make it a good one. |
McCoy to the Seahawks is ****ing theft. Theft.
|
A DT could slide if Detroit goes LT.
|
Quote:
If the draft were to play out like this, they could not pass that up, IMO. |
Hamas, I understand your point and perhaps Daniel Snyder is the only owner in the NFL who would allocate such a huge portion of his payroll to the DT position. That is what would prevent it from happening to me plus their huge need for a LT.
|
Quote:
But I can see why Frank took Bradford. |
billay will be in here in a minute. He's busy jerking off to the Jones signing right now.

1) Giving Campbell a year to prove himself w/ Shanahan 2) Drafting McCoy 3) Seeing if I can pry Gaither away from Baltimore with my 2 this year and a 3rd next year. |
Didn't think this guy would fall to the Browns.
The Browns select C.J Spiller RB from Clemson The Browns offense sucked last year and while Harrison had a few nice games he's not the long term answer. Cribbs was the only playmaker on offense. Cribbs + Spiller gives the Browns instant offense and a headache for D-cordinators in the league. |

RDE: Hali 3T: Dorsey NT: Suh LDE: Jackson. You absolutely could not run on the interior or left side of that defense. You could, however, run on Hali. Ultimately, if I'm KC and Suh falls, I'm drafting him and building the D around the strength of my players. |
