All you have is speculation and rumor. You don't have a ****ing single shred of evidence to support any claim that Pioli had any interest in McDumbass at all. Dumb****. |

You really think anyone is going to give any credibility to someone who combines Kyle boller, and pro bowl? Please. Oh, and we have a new OC, DC, HC, and GM. How the hell would you know anything about the brand of football we will be playing? |

I love how any thread on CP can be redirected with just a little dumbassery.

You all know that Polio would have preferred McDaniels over Todd. Polio loves everything Patriots, and last time I checked that is where McDaniels came from. I know you guys would rather have McDaniels coaching Cassel than Todd.

Pioli was interviewed before McDaniels took the job and he knew there was a good possibility McDaniels would get hired by the Donx. Yet he still elected to take his time and didn't rush to sign with the Chiefs. The most likely scenario is that he wasn't as interested in signing McDaniels as the press speculated, but instead was more interested in going after a Bill Parcells disciple that he knew, like Haley. And it would make sense in the state that the Chiefs were in for Pioli to look for someone who had been around for a number of turnaround projects (Jets, Cowboys, Cardinals) than someone who had been around a successful team for a couple of years like McDaniels. What pedigree would McDaniels have had for knowing how to rebuild a team?
Watching McDaniels and Xanders function in Denver so far, it doesn't appear that McDaniels would have been the right fit with Pioli anyway. Remember, the press also speculated that the top guy on his list was Kirk Ferentz, and that turned out to be false as well... |

I like his idea. |

Agreed, and there was speculation about a number candidates that had past affiliations with Pioli. Also trying to correlate McDaniels to Pioli by saying Pioli just loves all things NE and therefore wanted McDaniels as his HC is a bit of a false assumption because no one knew how Pioli would operate before he actually left the NE organization. All the media speculation about Pioli and McDaniels being a package deal proved to be incorrect but some still insist on making the arguement knowing what they now know about Pioli and his signings of a few ex-Patriots. Hindsight is 20/20 but it still doesn't mean that Pioli was anymore likely to hire McDaniels than he was any other coach on his so called "short list". |
