Yes, it would.

Tyson Jackson is a stud DE the likes of Reggie White. Since that is about how is he was drafted and is getting paid.

Tank Tyler is a solid NT that holds the middle

Glenn Dorsey comes on in his 2nd year to live in opponents backfield.

Tamba Hali regains his quickness at the lighter weight and turns into a quality pass rusher

Derrick Johnson finally pulls his head of his ass and becomes a tackling machine

Put these together with our quality young cover guys and BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!! :D

That post has me all jacked up!

Could it be that we are overestimating Herm Edwards' coaching ablilities?? Thats a scary thought that all these player we have grown to consider busts may actually come good...

On the D-side I would say yes.

A lot of these players will be just fine. It's moreso because idiots think that players are useless if they're not pro bowlers within 3 seasons.

It's working out fine. If you watch, dorsey is getting double teamed which allows pressure from the outside. Our run defense seems to be better than last year.

They only gave up a little over 3 yards a carry in the preseason, so yes it does seem better.

We'll see what happens when the real games start.

I love me some Glenn Dorsey. I really hope that he does continue to improve because I think he was the best player in the '08 draft (at least he was at the time IMO... Matt Ryan is obviously making his case as are other players...) and have been a big fan of his ever since his college days.

I'm really glad to see that these coaches are not trying to turn him into something that he is not (a NT or typical 3-4 DE), when the reports came out that he was being shopped, I was pissed. I still think GD72 can become a great D-lineman for us, especially with good coaching and a DE like Tyson Mofriggin' Jackson on the other side of him.
