Unironically if a random fan just stood at home plate and didn't swing, that would have let Garcia steal second and score on the single. Thus the random person would have been better than MJ in the last half inning.

I'm a big Massey fan but he can't hit lefties. He can mash righties but he's an automatic out against lefties.

Wouldn't it be cool if the Royals had a first round pick with tons of talent that was a middle infielder that could crush lefties? A right handed hitting player that could play 2nd against lefties, but also cover 3rd, shortstop and 1B?

That would be Nick Loftin.

Nick Loftin wouldn't be 1 for 16 and he could play the outfield just fine. No worse than India anyway who plays like a little leaguer out in left field.
