Ma the Meatloaf!

That's a massive human. Man, if a team could work his weight down to 365 or so, he'd be something.

He might find his way onto a practice squad with that hope, but no way is he getting drafted. He didn't even start for Florida.

Fun thing is he somehow has 1.5 career sacks.

I doubt my fridge weighs 464 lbs.

If his top half matched his bottom half he'd weigh 600 lbs. His upper half would look normal on a 300lb dude.

Tweet says the DT is 6'6 and 464 pounds. If it was Zach he would be billed as 4'11 and 500 pounds.

Why Not? 03-27-2025 09:08 PM

I’d bet 5.8 would be better than the average here on CP.

And the vast majority here definitely couldn’t clock a 25” vert.

When I was young I could leap like a gazelle. I had hops.

But as I've aged, my jumping ability has probably been my single greatest decline in physical performance. I'm not sure I've even got a 12" vertical these days.

I just checked. It's probably 6" to 8". (Edit: 10" after measuring.). And the weird thing is that I have strong legs and I'm not overweight. I just can't jump any more.

It was only 1 but the QB died upon landing, so they credited him with an extra half.

Yeah, I’m no expert but I’ve done some reading and it seems as long as you keep working out, you can maintain a good amount of your strength into your 60s before the massive decline begins. Doesn’t appear to be the case with explosion/speed, though.

IIRC, you are a distance runner as well so decades of that sort of specific training has probably had an impact on your hops.

Anecdotally, I played football in 10th grade. The school I went to at the time was terrible. We were small, slow, and generally not very skilled.

In the weight room I remember they had some goals for the guys to work toward like a 4.9 40, certain bench & squat numbers that I can’t remember, and a 24” vertical. Like 90% of the team couldn’t hit the 24” vert. And that was a JV team full of 15 year olds. I remember guys were trying to game the system by lackadaisically reaching upward during the initial measurement phase so their numbers would appear greater lol

If we were still running a 3-4 I would absolutely take him as a NT project
