It’s getting a little…ummmm…on brand…which is kind of disappointing but still enjoying for the real life (medical) parts

Dr Robby has had a day hasn’t he? And the shift isn’t over for 2 more hours.

This weeks episode was intense!

Can’t believe how much birthing and crowning they showed of that baby.

I've heard this is probably the most accurate medical show there has been and my wife (a nurse) agrees. Still some things you can't get around like over-explaining for exposition purposes and simplifying some procedures to make them filmable, but apparently it's a really good look at how hospitals function. Also really good in that prime time soap kinda way. And Noah Wylie is fantastic.

Definitely the most accurate show I've seen, but med students and interns generally know nothing about proper antibiotic choice, and are using the EMR's recs to guide dosing. Would have been nice to show an ED pharmacist, which they would have at least one of in a center of that size.

between this episode and this weeks episode of The White Lotus, i've seen enough genitalia for a couple days now!

So far the ultrasound/ x ray have been pretty good, although Morrisons pouch image has looked the same on every patient and image is static even when patient is breathing but probe choice/location is not horrible and somewhat correlates to the image on the screen at least the don’t have that dumb whooshing sound on 2d imaging some shows use and x rays are not upside down or backwards.

So I’m guessing David the lost emo kid is the shooter at Pit Fest? At least, that’s what they want you to think for now.

I spent 10 years as a Respiratory Therapist. 5 years at Truman downtown. I had people die on me almost every day. On the flip side you get to save a fellow human's life almost on a daily basis.

All the ones I worked at were like the show ER. It's a very stressful enviornment, It wears on you. I'm surprised I made it 10 years.

I only worked at level 1 hospitals but in every one we had a dedicated pharmacists that knew their shit backwards and forward.

I'm sure there were days no one died on me but I don't remember a single day.

One of the first things you must have down pat when you are on the code blue team was when you leave the room where you are dealing with a life threatening situation, make your face neutral. Practice it a mirror. Don't give away shit, the Doctor needs to give the bad news.

I had a student walk into my room on a few seconds after I started scanning a routine OB ultrasound and there was multiple abnormalities APKD , Dandy walker , anhydramnios and probably more shit I couldn’t see due to lack of fluid , as soon as she saw the screen she let out a loud gasp and back peddled herself up against the door , had a little talk about here working on her poker face.

Really hope they're not ham fisting "see something say something" with David, but it seems exactly where they're going.

I really hope it isn't as predictable as Robby lets David get away, thinks his list of girls isn't the end of the world, doesn't call police, and now Jake will end up a victim of David during the shooting, he dies, and Robinavitch will blame himself, ending the season with some dumb cliffhanger of him standing on the ledge of the roof of the hospital.

I mean if they do that, just go ahead and have Robby jump.
