Nah, because Reid is consistently great he's not gonna have a lot of turnaround seasons because his team with mahomes will likely never be bad. NFL coach of the year unfortunately tends to care more about that. I don't think it's the worst thing because hall of Fame coaches don't care about a meaningless award and probably know it means a whole lot to a newer head coach always coaching for his job

His opportunity to win it was 2013 when he took the worst team in the league, added Alex Smith at quarterback, and made the playoffs. That's the kind of turnaround that usually gets COTY. But they didn't even do it that year. I don't think that he will ever get it again. Whatever. He's got 3 Superbowl rings in KC and a guaranteed ticket to Canton punched.
