Yeah this was a krazy story...

A steel beam falls on his head
He's pronounced dead
Then he's alive but paralyzed below the waist, and on life support
Now he's off life support and recovering to some extent

Its been a pretty wild read on this for a few days now, thank God he seems to be on the mend... dude didn't need the money, he was just out there helping his old mans construction company

Sign him!

He can still get better separation than the Chiefs current WR’s.

Wheel him in for a look?

Original death report probably delivered by Chris Meck. He's got a "skip to the end and assume" kind of mindset.

Already has the Lions in the playoffs.

Ex-NFL receiver Mike Williams off life support, responsive after construction accident

Joseph Staszewski

The positive news around the health of former NFL receiver Mike Williams continues.

The 36-year-old Williams was taken off life support on Thursday and is responsive, Tierney Lyle, the mother of Williams’ 8-year-old daughter, told WIVB4 in Buffalo.

She added that Williams smiled when a friend played one of his highlight videos for him.

“We need prayer warriors to continue praying and spread the word,” Lyle told the outlet as Williams is still in an uphill battle.

Williams was hospitalized on Sept. 1 and later placed on a ventilator two days later following a workplace accident in which a steel beam fell on his head at a construction site in Hillsborough County, Fla. on Aug. 21.

The initial on-site incident wasn’t believed to be fatal, but things got more serious when the laceration became infected, two friends of the former Bills and Buccaneers wideout told the outlet.

That led to Williams going to the hospital and eventually being induced into a comma.

Wendell Muhammad, Williams’ father, that said the steel beam falling on Williams’s head caused a “massive head injury,” creating “swelling in his brain and swelling on his spinal cord that was ruptured.”

It led to complete paralysis in his right arm as well as his lower body from the waist down.

A Spectrum News report circulated around the internet last week stating that Williams had died, but that proved false.

Yikes. Blood clot, I presume?

That's a cruel way to go out when you're a 36 year-old multi-millionaire.

Or a real life-and-death version of CJ Spiller.
