I think I saw that story. I think the answer is "no." For which I think everyone should be very grateful.

Lions have a lot of fans who are ABSOLUTELY convinced last year was a prelude to greatness and they can go into the temple of doom Thursday and make history.

You can understand how they grasp for straws after the way their franchise has eaten shit even with great players over the years.

They are going to learn a hard lesson this year. LMAO

Good to see BleedingVag has conquered his lifelong fight with punctuation…..

Detroit will learn a tough lesson with their loss in KC... but in the long run this brutal upcoming loss, might well prepare them for other tests down the road

Hang tough, Detroit... you'll get there one day

^^^^

They just want a competitive showing against the best team in professional football.

CJ gone will just make them look better than average.

They have a chance at a good season. If any of them think that chance is dependent on this game goes then they are way off base. They will lose by 14 points at least and still have plenty of reason for optimism moving forward.

Molitoth 09-04-2023 03:58 PM

The lions can win their division this year.
It's hard to predict game 1. I'd say because mahomes the chiefs will win, but it will be close.

Cheater5 09-04-2023 04:05 PM

I really hope the Chiefs are fully focused for this game and don't get caught up gloating over some b.s. banner ceremony or whatever.

Hard for me not to think of the season opener agains the Patriots in 2017 when Alex Smith et al went into Foxboro and kicked them in the dick.

So they want us to destroy their souls too? Done and done

Same as the Browns a couple years ago. Broke their playoff Streak and were convinced they could hang with us. Proceeded to go something like 6-11 and miss the playoffs.

Not that that's whats going to happen, but we're no strangers to week 1 opponents hyping themselves up to be the next big thing. We'll see what happens Thursday.

RINGLEADER 09-04-2023 04:16 PM

Lions are a fun team to watch but they have a tendency to get way down and come roaring back. Just not sure they’ll be able to keep pace but they do have weapons. Problem is they just don’t score a lot on the road and they frequently get down and have to claw and scrap their way back.

But they’re absolutely a fun team to watch and root for (just not this week).

Rainbarrel 09-04-2023 04:18 PM

CJ is avoiding ring and banner celebrations. Maybe next week

You really don't want to know. People call us "Hockeytown". No, it has always been Lions. Kind of like Maple Leaf fans.
