I really liked 1923, until I realised that Spencer would be like late 50's early 60's when 1923 started. So, he's roughly only 20 years younger than Harrison Fords character, or am I missing something. Plus his wife is only like 22.

If I remember correctly, he hadn't been born yet at the end of 1883 when they settled in Montana after Elsa died. Can't remember how many years later they said he was born, but he certainly looked a good bit younger than his older brother that died in season 1. I think he's probably early-ish 30's on this show.

Yeah, that makes more sense. I think you are right. I was thinking the little kid in 1883 was Spencer, but it was actually his older brother.

I’m guessing he was around 18-21 when he fought in WWI.. The US was in the War from 1917-18.. The war was over in 1918, He went big game killing till 1923 when I guess he would be 21-24 maybe??
Ok…
I just read the average age of men in WWI was 25.. so maybe 27-29? I think he was under 30. Alex looks about the same age or maybe a bit younger..
Hell IDK.. it’s TV..

Yeah I kept talking to the TV saying '' she's pregnant''. WTF??? And the Indian girl getting away with everything including killing a deputy, was way farfetched.. Just a lot of unbelievable things happening throughout the show, but hey,, that's TV nowadays...

That ending in court and the lecture on the plight of the poor Indians just ruined the whole series for me. Shame the gunfight at the station and at the ranch was epic.

The Indians have no clean bill of health on brutality against other tribes or Pioneers. Total bs move IMO.

Just started season 2. Is it just me, or is Taylor Sheridan really into rapey stuff? I mean damn...IMO pointless to the story but he really seems to like the S&M and rapey stuff. Ugh.

I was interested in Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren's characters, the nephews were meh and Spencer was awesome. Could do without the Indian girl stuff since it has so far nothing to do with the Yellowstone, and Timothy Dalton being a total freak was also pointless.

But, I'm not totally hating it. I'll finish of course. Never watched 1883, heard it sucked. I guess I'll have to give it a whirl.
