He’s not doing much this year, and that’s fine.

The next 3 years are what I’m looking forward to with him. He’s going to be huge next year.

Sannyasi 10-27-2022 06:50 PM

200-300 yards, 1-2 TD's

I don't think they are immediately going to thrust him into a big role by any means. They are going to take it slow and in the best case scenario he starts to gel with the offense toward the end of the season. It's definitely possible he won't get any major playing time until next year.

I know nothing about this guy. But everything I've seen from him reminds me a lot like tyreek. He's dangerous out in space. I like this trade much more than going for a 30 yr old reciever rehabbing his 2nd ACL tear. Great front office move

3 reps his first week. Gradually increase as the season goes to give guys a break. If he’s open Mahomes will get him the ball. I’ll say 3 TD’s. Two games with 100 yards.

Punt returner with small reps sprinkled in in the upcoming weeks. Might play a big role coming down the stretch. Hopefully he'll be a can be a big upgrade from Moore at PR

INSTANTLY better at PR and a couple of huge YAC plays on limited snaps at WR

This.

he'll have a small package of plays, probably screens and quick hitter type stuff.
He'll be an upgrade at PR.

And for this season that's likely it. Next year, he'll get all of Hardman's stuff if Hardman prices himself out of KC.

Percy Harvin is probably a good comparison in terms of realizing his potential, although the Florida association might be influencing that thinking…

The role you might think of for Toney is something like Hardman’s so I will be interested to see what they do with him.

Harvin is a bad comparison.

Harvin excelled in straight line speed not unlike Hardman.

Toney isn't that fast but is a lot more shifty.

I just hope Andy doesn’t try and get too cute with his new toy and let him through the ball etc…

Sprinkle so runs and few routes here and there and as long as well he helps us win I don’t really care about his stats .

Huh? Toney ran his 40 .2 faster than Harvin did. It's not pure game speed but I think that should at least be a decent barometer to compare if we're just talking straight line speed.

I don't think it's a bad comparison in terms of their basic skillset and their likely role in the offense. Harvin even had the same negatives listed for him coming into the league, e.g. the questionable commitment to football.
