The old weber grill in my back yard. It's always fresh and made exactly how I want it.

Fries are a little more work however the drink (adult beverage) selection is outstanding!

In-N-Out is the most overrated fast food joint in the country.

Am I the only one that thinks Five Guys is a greasy mess? Maybe it's the store here?

BigBeauford 08-29-2022 03:18 PM

Freddy's has been my go to. Love the crispy-edged steak burgers. Now that I can make them at home on my own griddle, I haven't had to go there lately.

Backyard Burgers still exists? Haven't seen or heard of one of those in a decade. That was the original Five Guys IMHO.

Bearcat 08-29-2022 03:20 PM

Probably The Habit, with honorable mentions to Smashburger and Fuddrucker's.

On a recent trip back from the coast, I bought some Krystal burgers and took em back to the hotel. First time ever even hearing of Krystal. I could tell it was in a former DQ building. Knoxville TN, I think.

Those were some god-awful excuses for food in general, let alone specifically burgers. Blech

Oh yeah, it's slop on a bun. But the taste makes it so, so worth the cleanup*.

There's an In-n-Out within walking distance but I drive the extra couple miles to Five Guys any time I get a fast food burger. Burgers are better, fries are better, and you can't even compare the milkshakes. Clean sweep by Five Guys.

This times a hundred. All the hype and it was like eating a burger from a concession stand at a little league baseball game.

Shake Shack is amazing. SmashBurger is very underrated

I feel like they're really inconsistent. I've heard this several times, but never experienced it in KC and thought they were really good. I've had it a few times here and the last couple times were really bad.. and the opposite of a greasy mess, really dry like it was made 3 days prior.

Eating a burger from a bowling ally
