We recently took a road trip and followed our normal routine. Head out early in the morning and order a double bacon cheeseburger with tots and a large drink... then we each eat half.

I find that the quality of the burger early in the morning far exceeds the ones during the afternoon/evening mealtimes.

Corn Dogs are pretty good at Sonic. I like their cheddar bites and chili cheese tots as well.

A couple of years ago I went to a sonic in Quanah, TX. Ordered the shit to go. They brought it out took to the wrong vehicle they dug threw it decided it wasn’t theirs, the shit proceeded to go to two more vehicles to be dug thru and taste tested. Fourth time is the charm got to me. I took the shit even though it had been violated by several vehicles. Needless to say the order was all ****ed up, cold, been dug through by multiple vehicles. I figure after the nuclear holocaust it will be me, cockroaches, rats and the parents and kids of multiple families the state stepped in and took the kids away because of unsanitary living environments. And for the record we have been foster parents numerous times. Hope to never be again. For the record. But, of course we will. Once you get into that vortex it is hard to dig your way up and out of that.

It was the second to last time I went there that the problem. I made the mistake of ordering a burger and taking it home instead of eating it there. Their burgers are greasy as hell, and if you don't eat them immediately the grease starts to congeal. It was gross.

And after that, even when I ate the next burger immediately I was aware of it, sort of like a noise your car makes that you've grown accustomed to until somebody else points it out, then you can't stop hearing it.

That was the last time I ate at Sonic, and it was a long time ago. Not saying I'll never go back, but I'll damn sure never eat another one of their nasty ass burgers.
