Of course we're not going to have 11 picks after trading up for Mahomes.
:) |
I'm pretty sure someone in Dorsey's office ****ed Laz's mom.

Not sure how I feel about that, but I've heard that from multiple people that's the case. |
I don't think it's unfair to say that Dorsey's contracts have been high risk/reward. It's been a mixed bag but overall positive result.
Some of them he's missed on, such as Charles and Bowe. He's gambled on young players that are projected to ascend and we're still waiting for the results, such as Fisher and LDT. Dorsey has handed out some of the most lucrative contracts in the NFL to Houston and Berry. It's up to THEM to live up to the contract. He's been able to land marquee F/A's and get them on fair contracts, such as Maclin and Schwartz. He's had some steals too, like Kelce, Howard and Ware. Mostly, i think he's shown that he and the Chiefs are not cheap. They've changed their culture in dealing with F/A and it doesn't feel reckless. When free agency rolls around the Chiefs no longer feel like they're incapable of signing top tier talent. |

I hope not anyways. Either way, the Chiefs will need to trade up if they want him. |
"Duvernay-Tardif’s first-year cap number will be about $2.69 million, the source said. His contract includes a $10 million signing bonus, but it only adds about $860,000 to the team’s 2017 salary cap because he was already scheduled to have a cap number of $1.86 million under his previous contract."
First year cap hit isn't too bad. Hopefully he can increase his strength in the run game. |
As long as there's enough to squeeze in Manziel I don't ****ing care !

All I want out of free agency is a ILB - thats it.
Keep building through the draft. As for the rest of the BS in this thread Besides the Bowe deal, its the Hali contract that bites. But we were in a pinch. Pisses me off seeing the Steelers sign James Harrision to a 2 year 3.5 m deal. That's what Hali needed to do for us. |

Lying Alcohol Abuse Domestic Violence Missed Practices (also a college issue) Size Style of play in College doesn't translate to NFL well. Possible mental midget, flipping off players, giving up on a fumble during the Redskins game. Supposedly refused to be disciplined in college, or take criticism of play. Not showing up to practice in college or pros. Not to mention addiction is something that can rear it's head when stress pops up. The NFL could be the stress that sends him back down to whatever it is he struggles with. I'm not an addict myself, but they say you are never truly recovered. Teams have to be worried about a relapse. Those are underlying issues that just dont go away, it's a part of him. The fact he will be a distraction to his next team because of the above, regardless of what he is currently doing or not doing, and the fact he likely will be suspended for 6 weeks if he somehow manages to land a contract for the domestic violence incident. Then your team would only have to pay him for 10. |

Part of the problem was Julius Peppers getting 10M per year on the open market, so Hali's 7M actually looked cheap. Hindsight, though. |
Yeah I'm all in favor of throwing picks for Romo or Bress.
Or trading up with a pkg of them for one of four QBs. |
Stop posting less than positive Chiefs news, troll
