Shocking a pass rusher comes alive when he can pin his ears back. Shocking.

You have a better chance of being struck by lightning than seeing Albert Wilson and Dee Ford make big plays in the same game...but it happened today.
|
He seems to show up at key moments I'll give him that.
|
He's definitely improving to the point where he's serviceable at this point. Hopefully the growth will continue.
|
He missed half of the Jets game so he's got 3.5 sacks in 4.5 games. He's got a sack (or combined sack) in 3/4.5 games played.
I hate it that Sutton continuously drops him into coverage on 3rd down and puts him on the strong side all the time. |
too inconsistent. makes big plays after coverage blankets everyone for 7 seconds. probably will still grade out negative like most of his other games.
|
Not a bust, but still not a top rusher unless he gets a clear path around the edge. The opposing OT gets in front of him, and he doesn't seem to have the physicality or moves to fight through. Not sure he will, if he hasn't already, but there's still time.

3 of his sacks are against teams he did well against last year (SD and Oak). If he can put pressure on the qb every week then I'll be a believer. |

for a FIRST ROUNDER, he is at least as good as fisher
|
He'll look a lot better on the weak side full time when Houston comes back.
At this point he's probably a C guy. Doesn't look like he'll ever develop into anything more than a B. |
I've been pleasantly surprised at Dee Ford's abilities outside of pass rusher. He hasn't been a major liability which is good. He doesn't seem to get consistent pressure in the pass rush. But he looks to be a complementary guy, not the star of the show. I don't love the pick or hate it. But I still wish we had picked a QB.
|
I don't think he's a bust, but he's still a disappointment.
Would love to see him show up against an actual tough opponent like Denver, instead of just getting his mediocre stats from San Diego and Oakland |
Denver isn't tough this year
