I'd be concerned that age will catch up with Nash.

It seems to suddenly just hit guys on the back ends of their careers.

Chiefs Pantalones 07-04-2012 07:16 PM

Nash is good for one maybe two more years. Makes sense though as the Lakers are always in "win now" mode.

mcaj22 07-04-2012 07:17 PM

lolol Knicks can't do anything right. What a garbage front office

ChiefsCountry 07-04-2012 07:39 PM

Good it will be awesome seeing LeBron and Wade beat the shit out of the Lakers in the Finals. Bring on the ratings!

Not with Nash it's not. Pau is a GREAT pick and roll big man. Nash is going to get him the ball in his spots.

Bynum now has to be moved for Dwight. Pau can't play with Bynum and Howard would swing the balance back to the Lakers in the West.

I saw a crazy stat just now. Lakers PGs scored 33 points and 17 assists TOTAL against OKC in games the Lakers lost.

Yeah, Nash's defense sucks, but it's no worse than Sessions or Blake. The offensive upgrade is huge.

Yeah you're right about Pau...I didn't even think about that, he'll be immense with Nash.

I agree about getting Howard, he and Nash running the Pick & Roll with Gasol and Kobe as other options? Pfffft ridiculous.

They do need another outside shooter now, I'd take a flyer on Rashard Lewis if he'd come cheap.

Buck 07-04-2012 07:45 PM

Nash can't make Pau any less soft on the boards.

You're right, they do need some outside scoring.

I think Goudlock can provide some. I think they are also bringing in Grant Hill and he has an OK outside game.

I applaud Mitch again. Turned a disgruntled Lamar Odom and 3 draft picks into Steve Nash.

mcaj22 07-04-2012 07:46 PM

i hope the Lakers tell Ron Artest to take a ****ing hike and recruit guys like Grant Hill to replace him

No, he can't, but he can make him a much more effective offensive player. If Howard goes there, Pau is going to have a much easier time.

Laker fans have forgotten what great PG play looks like with Phil's triangle.

I love how everyone on Twitter and everywhere else is bringing up Nash's age...dude doesn't play like a 39 year old at all and is still in tremendous shape.

This move is only going to make him better...he'll be rejuvenated and feel younger.

I'll take a 39 year old Steve Nash over Ramon Sessions, Steve Blake, or anyone else at the point.

Pitt Gorilla 07-04-2012 07:53 PM

That's a lot of money for Nash.

10 million less than NYK and Toronto were offering.

This is why they need Howard.

Kobe, Gasol, and Nash are all old. Howard makes them a championship team but with Nash right now they'd lose in 7 to OKC.

Great move by the Lakers. Hopefully the precursor to a big move.
