Looks like the Lions will continue to pick in the top 5 for years to come

Gunther can be a competent D-coordinator again if not saddled by this garbage Cover-Who defense.

It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out. My bet is that he performs admirably and it shows to be a damning indictment of both Herm Edwards and this stupid defense he runs.

if we

1. Hire Pioli
2. Watch Gunther hired away (zomg!!)
3. Fire Herm

this will be the greatest week in Chief's history since the superbowl

DaWolf 01-16-2009 03:32 PM

There are also a couple of articles out there (I'm too lazy to search and link em) that say Gun's one of the leading candidates to replace Schwartz in Tennessee...

Don't forget that Barney Priefer is maybe going to Denver.

It's like the organization announced Free Blowjob and Beer Day at the stadium.

Detroit has found the missing ingredient.

Really? As effective as he was when he wasn't saddled with it during the Vermeil years, or was able to run his own defense without anyone interfering during his head coaching days?

Man I can't wait for Gun to get canned...

How is this happening. Right now I am really think he intentionally ****ed up our D.

FringeNC 01-16-2009 03:33 PM

If Gun is a candidate other places, this whole staff has already been told they are fired.

kcxiv 01-16-2009 03:34 PM

Was wondering why this took so long to hit Chiefsplanet. I seen that lastnight on the Coalition and was like whoa. Makes sense though. It really does. The other assistance are leaving as well. Gibbs and Pfiefer (or however you spell it) are gone.

Herm entered a square peg in a round hole and it's just one more reason a GM with common sense will obviously suggest Herm has got go.

You would think after running the Tampa 2 for three years he may not be an expert but would at least be adequate. He had a shit ton of time to get it right, he's just a bafoon.

He legitimately had no talent on those Vermeil teams.

I think he's an average to slightly above average D-coordinator when put in a situation where he can shape his defense (and not try to contort it to the whims of a !@#$tard head coach).

Because Detroit has a whole LOT of talent waiting for him.

Hopefully Gunther's hitting the refresh button on his browser about now.

Wow we're on a roll with getting our assistants out of town. I'm just waiting to hear now that the Broncos have hired Dick Curl.

Sounds like Crennel's either going to heal his hip or stay in Cleveland as an undefined position. Who do you like as our next D-Coordinator?
