Pass Rushers
Linebackers
Offensive Linemen

Then QB.......

If you don't believe that you have the answer at QB, I don't care what other problems you have on your team, QB is the number one priority.

Seriously, we haven't been in much cover 2 because we have no pass rush.

Thigpen playing two ways
as MLB doesn't help his cause

That is an outdated truism.

While you still need defense to win championships, with the nuetering of today's defense, you have to score points to win championships in the game today.

That's part of my (obvious) point -- We're not going anywhere with anyone until the defense is fixed and if we had a defense that could hold opponents to 17 points or less we'd be 8-0-1 with Thigpen. Heck, hold them to 20 points and he'd still be 5-2-2.

I remember what it was like before Thigpen took over. Watching the offense sucked. At least I have something to look forward to each week - and today was okay in my book.

Not bad for a third stringer in his first year and getting thrust into the game part ways into the season. In my opinion, he has been a pleasant surprise. Not perfect by any means, but if we're going to develop a QB, we'll see some of this. It will be interesting to see if the team goes with a different QB next year.

Now if the defense could just play a game ... I wish a third stringer would come in there and make things happen as much as Thigpen has.

Mecca has said it 407 times, so it must be true.

okay.

Thigpen came in and is now under Herm's control. New OC, lost sense of confidence from the offense, absolute worst offensive performance (instead of hoping for TD's we were praying for first down's) in the league mid way through the season.

Daunte Culpepper a once stud QB can't even come in to the Lions and perform up to the impact Thigpen has. Cassel has been learning the Patriots offense since 2005 with Tom Brady as his teacher. If thats any clue to why he's been successful since Brady's injury.

Think if Thigpen had learned this new offense for 3 years and came in. You can't, but you can see that his numbers coming in under a new system, and probably doesn't know half the players first names in the locker room, and gave the offense a new set of balls. They're getting first downs, TD's and scoring at least 21 points or more a game. Yet this is not what the fans wanted!?!?!

Tyler Thigpen is a latter day Bill Kenney. He had some nice stats, too.

remains to be seen. too early to tell.

The defense played like garbage for most of today, as they have all season, but when they gave Thigpen and the offense the opportunity to tie the game Thigpen choked.

It is that simple... Thigpen choked. He is a poor man's Derek Anderson

The Chiefs can't go into another season without the QB situation settled.

Thigpen has earned the opportunity to not get his ass kicked to the curb in the pending franchise blow-up this offseason... but nothing more.

If the Chiefs make the move for Scott Pioli and Josh McDaniels, Matt Cassel would be the perfect fit for the Chiefs starting QB in 2009.

Do ?

Don't ?

Which is it ?

Sure Thigpen is not our answer ,Now. Can he be, we don't know this. Drafting a QB to be our QBOTF has been our # 1 priority for sometime. We don't have one and we still have many holes to fill. But Tyler is serviceable if we can slow down some teams.

Am I sold on Tyler as our QBOTF ? No. As bad as he played and looked today, it was by far better than Atlanta.

BTW, did you see our pass rush ?:doh!:

Who says the Chiefs have to use the draft to get their starting QB?

The Chiefs can sign Matt Cassel this offseason... securing their starting QB and have the entire draft to address other needs.

Another poster made a good analogy.

Matt Cassell is just a Scott Mitchell waiting to happen.

Just say no to Cassell.

I saw the pass rush this season.

It doesn't matter.

The single most important position in football is QB.
