I won't be upset if the Chiefs lose as long as they put up a good fight. I will be upset if they lose 45-9. All I hear is Hermie stressing that he's sticking to his guns and playing the young guys no matter what. If we get beat that bad the young guys have no business playing in the NFL and it will prove Hermie shouldn't be a head coach in the NFL.

They won by an average of 20 points last season, and 17.5 when including the playoffs. That spread isn't a pisspound, it's another day at the office.

You don't have to be the greatest team ever to rack up gaudy stats when your division consists of Miami, Buffalo and the Jets. A decent college team could win the AFC East against those turds.

No where did I say the Chiefs were gonna win. I said "I think there's always a chance even though it may be ever so slight." The point is I don't want to see all these young players just show up to take a beating. I'll feel much better with a loss if these guys take the game to them with a "hit'em in the mouth" mentality. I also believe playing with that mentality gives us a chance. The other point is it makes me sick to watch so many Chiefs fans just lay down willing to take the loss. Seriously though, there's always a chance, and Herm's style might even keep us in the game for a while. Nobody wants to see the players just show up and take a beating, but that has nothing to do with us expecting a beating. I'm not going to get all rah-rah and pumped up for a game that could be over in the first 15-20 minutes. Low expectations followed by a huge surprise is much better than high expectations and a huge letdown whenever you have no control over the outcome.
