The original pics are way, way too cheesy for me. I don't think they've stood up to the test of time all that well.

Eh, I didn't get the "high on himself" vibe so much as he did sort of need to keep control of his audience.

Routh, IMO, is not ripped enough to play Superman, but I'll see it anyway.

And I don't like the maroon. When I think of Superman (my favorite superhero) I think of red and blue, not maroon and a darker blue.

Christopher Reeve was born to play that role

I thought pretty much the same thing. I'm not a big Chris Reeve fan but his resemblance to Superman is uncanny.

Kick ass! I will definitely be taking the kids to see this one. To bad the actor that plays superman in the series turned down the movie role.

Yeah, I know. Smallville rocks, I wish he would've taken the role. He must've been high not to take the role, IMO...

What I read was that the reason he didnt take the roll was so that they did not have to tie the show (Smallville) to the movies. Smallville was designed not as a Prequel series to the movie but as its own completely seperate rendition of Superman.

Welling playing the Superman role would have confused fans of the show in this regard.

That said, I will be taking my son to this one.

Yeah, either way, I will see it. Just saying I'd like to see him play the role...

Is this movie supposed to be after Superman IV. I ask because they keep saying "You have bee gone for so long" in the preview. I just don't understand what time frame this is supposed to take place in. And Kevin Spacey as Luther, Brilliant. :toast:

IIRC, I read that this one takes place between Superman II and Superman III.

Not positive though.
