It wasn't broken, just badly sprained. When we got there, they took him almost immediately for xrays. Probably just before 11pm. Finally, just before 2 am, they called him back to go over the results. His parents were there so I left when they went back. Got home and realized his car was still at my place. Waited up fr them to run the keys over (dad is driving it to their house when we go over for dinner and fireworks), so I didn't get to bed until 3am.

Went to an Independence Day celebration tonight. Food, volleyball, and fireworks. I actually played volleyball, and I wasn't half bad!

I love playing volleyball.

I hadn't played in probably 20 years. I'm not great, but better than I thought. I was talking to dad on our way home, and he said my friend's aunt asked him how that happened (referring to me getting out there and playing, as I always claim to not be very good at anything sports related).

I'm glad my dad went. My friend's family had become like a second family to me, and he'd never met them (most of them).
