Unrelated, but I wish there was a metric for sack quality.

Like, if you get a sack very quickly after the snap, beat a double team, etc... it should get you a higher score.

If you get a BS sack because the QB ran right into you like an idiot despite you not really do anything, it should net you a lower score.

It would really help to understand the quality of the pass rusher when you didn't watch every snap of the year.

Wonder if we're just going to let the other teams blow their load and sit back. Judging by how rough our schedule is I can't really argue against it.

Veach already said he wasn't going to be active in the first week.

He's proving that it was true.

Home
Denver Broncos (7-10)
Las Vegas Raiders (10-7)*
Los Angeles Chargers (9-8)
Jacksonville Jaguars (3-14)
Tennessee Titans* (12-5)
Los Angeles Rams* (12-5)
Seattle Seahawks (7-10)
Buffalo Bills* (11-6)
Away
Denver Broncos (7-10)
Las Vegas Raiders (10-7)*
Los Angeles Chargers (9-8)
Houston Texans (4-13)
Indianapolis Colts (9-8)
San Francisco 49ers* (10-7)
Arizona Cardinals* (11-6)

In some ways it is easier than this year since it includes likely bottom feeders such as Houston, maybe Jacksonville and Seattle.

We also play the Bucs away as well so add that one

Bengals as well. They are division champs like us. Gives the rest of our division a small edge.

Plus Tenn and Indy take a step back.

RunKC 03-18-2022 12:02 PM

Edited. Left out bengals and Bucs. I see 13 games against playoff caliber teams. Maybe 14 if Indy gets a decent QB

11-6. And that's under the assumption that we split with the Broncos and Chargers because we don't know what will be done yet.

Adams and Jones help the Raiders but they got murdered by us last year. I don't think they've caught up enough.

DJ is arguing that he woulda used that 9M on anyone not named Frank Clark. You were going to pay the 13M anyway. But the 9M; coulda just used that on anyone other than Clark.

It's understandable.

BUT you gotta look at it for 2022. That approximate $9 is about $1.2M in 2022 and the rest in 2023.

Veach is obviously more worried about THIS coming season and finding a Clark replacement for only $1.2M than he is about 2023 extra few million in dead money that he probably already has a plan how to handle that.

Yep, we aren't getting "cupcake" schedules any time soon with 15 at the helm. No way we could get lucky enough to have 3 dumpster fires in our division for nearly 2 decades like Tom got.

Nope, that lasted for about 3 seasons.

Sign Juju
Bring back Ingram
Sign a low cost LB

Attack the draft and get an edge rusher, corner, safety and WR

RunKC 03-18-2022 12:59 PM

Honestly if we wait and Sammy is still available I’d take him back at a deal like his in Baltimore. $4 million but with incentives to reach it.

He’s be our 5th receiving option after Kelce, Tyreek, Hardman and Juju. That’s a significant upgrade over Robinson. Have Powell and a rookie round out the receiving core
