Veach said pre-draft they were planning to draft an RB.

Maybe that was a smokescreen, but it didn’t seem like it based on need and how deep the draft was at RB.

Maybe this means a trade for a veteran RB will be in the works.

You have a roster that's been to three straight super bowls, winning two. How many draft picks do you EXPECT to be day one 'starters'?

I don't give a shit who gets their name announced at the beginning of the game. I care about who is going to positively impact games not only day one, but as the season goes on and deep into the playoffs.

Every single guy they've picked thus far fits that criteria, potentially.

And if they're right on Simmons, then they've filled the second hardest position on the field to fill for the next half decade or more.

Just imagine the havoc a guy like that could create alongside all of our other weapons...

And when you draft like a boss you can sign a guy like Barkley because you have cap flexibility due to the masterpieces they're acquired in the draft and FA signings.

To me that’s a luxury and we tried that and whiffed on the CEH pick.

Because then they have to compete and outbid other teams. Control.

After the 4th, agents and front offices are scrambling back and forth to wrangle and gauge UDFA and figure out what level of interest is out there for them to determine if they are going to draft someone bc it's likely they'll sign somewhere else.

I used to work the draft back in the day for Tom Condon and Ken Kramer.

Agents on the other hand are calling in favors and trying to ensure they have all their guys at least invited to one team's camp. It's a black eye to have a guy you rep not at least get a camp invite.
