That’s a bunch of washed up, deadweight rotting trash, other than Ingram.

The draft is deep with edge rushers.

The Chiefs just need a WR2 and RT in free agency and they are good.

People wishing for a RT are going to be severely disappointed. It's Wylie and Niang unless they decide to draft one.

I'm somewhat surprised by the Chiefs lack of cap space. Of course they can free up some space by restructuring contracts, but I thought they'd be in an ok position even before any restructuring. They don't have THAT many gigantic contracts.

Are you ****ing kidding me?

Mahomes - $35 million
Jones - $29 million
Hill - $20 million
Thuney - $18 million
OBJ - $16 million
Clark - $13 million - and that shit was $26 million before the restructure

Hoover 03-18-2022 11:38 AM

but but I was playing with the Spotac calculator and could easily create 100M in cap space....

Of course I was aware of those contracts, but that doesn't seem out-of-whack with most other teams. The ones actually trying to compete for a SB, anyway.

I'm not faulting the Chiefs, I was just a little surprised by the current cap situation.

The difference is that the Bills, Bengals and Chargers all have cheap QBs. The Broncos already built their team before Wilson...and Wilson is decently cheap right now. The Raiders are....the Raiders.

Nobody in that list dealing with a contract like Mahomes and dipshits like Clark sucking up the cap.

Fair enough

You can create a decent amount of cap space...but it has to come from somewhere. And that somewhere is future years. Veach is apparently electing not to do that at this time.

Clowney got nine sacks last season.

And your point is?

He’s a broke dick whose only available to play on average in like 10 games a season because he is constantly injured.

Also pretty sure the Chiefs don’t have a Myles Garrett-caliber pass rusher whose presence and command of constant multiple blockers helped inflate Clowney’s sack #’s.

Should have spent the money on Ingram, he gave us a lot more in the 1/2 season here.

Just joking.

Hoover 03-18-2022 11:44 AM

Give me a RT and decent WR in free agency as well as bringing back Ingram and I'm good to go.

Broncos don't pick in the draft until pick 64
Raiders don't pick until pick 83
Chargers don't have a 2nd rounder.

Chiefs have 4 out of the first 103 picks. Which is perfect for rebuilding this roster.
