And this is why I’ve been firm on Kingsley’s days as a LT are over….

You can suck on your own and overcome, but once the coaches saw it was impacting Mahomes mentally, it was overwith.

Writing him off after a few games into his rookie season, doesn’t make sense. He was very raw coming out, and despite us all blowing smoke up each others asses over how Veach was a genius, and how Kingsley was gonna step in immediately and become Willie Roaf. He still has plenty of time to get his shit figured out and become who we expected him to be immediately. I’d love to see him at G and see how he performs there. But we still have 3 full seasons left on his rookie contract.

My only concern, is Andy ****ing Heck is still on the payroll, and he’s not good at developing the players the team drafts for him.

He did, and I think if the line is shored up a bit he'll improve again but this whole season WAS BAD.

And sorry it can't just be "the left tackle play..."

In the SB Warner and Daniels pointed out that there were plenty of times that Pat had a clean pocket and just abandoned it. Or just threw piss poor balls.

It was just like that all year.

Pat came into the league looking like he had all the answers to the test.

I’ve never seen a player make everything look so easy. He had such an extreme level of confidence and everything looked so damn smooth.

He never dropped his eyes and he just had this uncanny way of feeling the pass rush and navigating the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield the whole time.

Somehow he’s lost that. He drops his eyes, he looks sped up, scared at times even. That effortlessness and natural moxie has been missing for awhile.

Can he get it back? Of course. But I sure hope he’s attacking this offseason like he never has before. It’s not going to come back without a renewed work ethic and focus.

No he hasn't. He had GOBS of time in 2018 and 2019 and through most of 2020.

The Chiefs had ELITE tackle play and ELITE receiver play for those three seasons.

Mahomes still won MVP without both in 2022. He hasn't lost shit.

He has had hot garbage to work with at tackle, declining Kelce, limited WR's with sub-par playcalling and has dragged the last two Chiefs teams to the SB.

No other QB is going to the SB throwing to Sky, Kadarius, MVS and rookie Rashee who didn't get more reps till late in that season.
